What started as a simple trim and wall painting project quickly evolved into a full-scale home remodel—simply because of Jason’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. From the beginning, his attention to detail and high standards were obvious. He was very firm with all the contractors he brought in in a way we could NEVER do. As we saw his work come to life, we kept adding new projects, confident that he would deliver nothing short of excellence. Before we knew it, our entire home had been transformed. Jason seamlessly blended old with new, ensuring that every addition fit perfectly with the vintage farmhouse aesthetic we love. "Looking for a contractor for your remodeling job? We give John Wood five stars. We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. As with any large construction/remodeling project, there were some unexpected expenses that came up, but John worked with us to help limit cost overruns, sometimes foregoing profits. He was also always up front about the costs of the various components. Our new home is gorgeous and reflects his sharp eye for detail. We couldn’t be happier.
