This was the worst contracting job I've ever experienced. I ordered the products in August, paid 1/2 down, $3200.00, never heard back again, called after 6 weeks, and the order had never been put in. The salesman who took my order had left 3 days after I was there. Then another salesman put in the order, and when it arrived 6 weeks later, it was not complete, and I was told I would have to wait again another six weeks. When everything came in, the workers they sent to the house had no idea what they were doing, used claw hammers to pull up the carpet on the hardwood floors, which has left huge scratch marks and even divets in the wood. They tore off the prior baseboard and with the glue tore off part of the white painted sheetrock, and left it torn up like that. They said they were not responsible for the damages to the sheetrock. It is embarrassing to even let people walk on my stairs or see the baseboard work. I called the supervisors, who never came out to check over the work.

I went with another company as Trinity was outbid and charged my for an estimate. When I decided to go with another company, they called me numerous times per day.
Description of Work: They charged my home for an estimate to remove and replace carpet. The estimate included fees for removing furniture, yet there was no furniture to remove. The estimate was 75% more expensive than another company.
We were very unhappy with this service. We had to tear up the tile, they had to come back 3 times for the hardwood floors, there was debris in the varnish on the floors so they had to redo them. We even had cancel the payment through the credit card company. This was inferior workmanship and material.
Description of Work: We had granite tile, hardwood floors, linoleum and carpet laid in our home.

After checking the big warehouse stores, we visited Trinity, selected a good commercial carpet for a basement bedroom, and scheduled the measurer/estimator. When the carpet arrived in Portland, the Trinity installation group accommodated us nicely to schedule the installation quickly for us. The two installers were very good at their work, fitting around many odd shapes. Our sales person, Michael, was very responsive throughout the process.
Description of Work: Trinity supplied measurements, carpeting, and installation for the basement bedroom.

Although Trinity gave us the lowest bid for the work, it was the worst headache to get them to finish it. The granite installers spoke very little English. After three days they left, but there were still places that needed to be grouted and rough edges that needed to be sanded and polished. It took 3 or 4 phone calls to Trinity. Finally, 10 days later, they came back to finish the job. In the mean time, the floor was installed. It mostly went okay until the installers realized the correct width cove base for the front of the step leading into the kitchen hadn't been ordered. Five more calls to Trinity and 27 (yes! twenty seven)days later, a crew showed up with the WRONG size cove base. More calls to Trinity! Nine days later the floor was finally done. Trinity folks were polite, but their system is a total failure! We won't use them again.
Description of Work: This company did a granite countertop install and vinyl floor tile install.

Overall experience was quite bad. The staff had very little product knowledge that led to long delays. Lack of proper estimation. Poor scheduling. Required full payment to even schedule. No clear indication of upfront costs. They kept adding to the cost everytime. Lack of co-ordination with the installer. What we wanted was not communicated to the installer, resulting in the installer charging higher cost. One good aspect was Trinity agreed to absorb the additional installation cost demanded by the installer, after a lot of persuasion and phone calls.

Horrible experience! With every problem, no one seemed to care. They would listen to me, but nothing would happen. Carpet measures each used a different method & one criticized the other person's method as not being accurate. Installers laid carpet wrong in bathroom doorways and put hallway seam in different spot than where I was told it would be. Carpet installer got angry when I had them re-fix wrongly laid bathroom doorway carpet. Now I have extra hallway seam 2 inches in front of bathroom door! I overhead installers discussing watching how-to video on carpet laying making me worried as to their skill. Stairs were carpeted opposite of what I asked for. Ended up with a lot of extra carpet leftover. Carpet salesperson didn't know all the carpet terms,i.e, transition piece for stairs. This transition piece was never ordered & it took so long for them to come out and fix that I had to purchase and do it myself! Billing was wrong. I would NOT recommend purchasing carpet with this company

THE GUY CAME OUT, MEASURED, AND NEVER REPORTED BACK TO ME HOW MUCH TILE I WOULD NEED. THEY LOST THE SAMPLES I BROUGHT IN. I SPOKE TO THREE GUYS, WHICH TOOK OVER 4 MONTHS TO GET BACK TO ME. I AM NOW REQUESTING MY MONEY BACK, AND IT IS STILL OVER 2 WEEKS. I AM THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED WITH THEIR SERVICE.
Description of Work: THEY MEASURED THE AREA WHERE THE NEW FLOORING WOULD BE.
