"Install was on time and as described. '1st Response' did the job I expected for the water heater install. Good customer service for scheduling. Note that the Angie's list price of $799 only covers the installation of 50 gallon gas AO Smith hot water tank. Assuming you also do installation of new brass fittings, new flex lines and new expansion tank (which you should probably all do with the new water heater) it will cost an ADDITIONAL approx $500-600 (mostly labor costs). That's a competitive price but still, you should be aware that the original quote is just for the water tank install itself, nothing else. All-in-all they did a good job for a competitive price. A few months after the install, so far, I can say I would recommend them for this type of work."

"Harts corrected the location of the crawlspace sump pump discharge line to the location in the foundation which I originally wanted it to be located. However, we did not hear the sump pump operate under the floor when first installed. When the Harts crew changed the location of the pump discharge line, we can now hear the pump very distinctly when it operates, under the floor. I am requesting that Harts come back and listen to see if it is normal for the sump pump to make this much noise."

In short, this work solved the problem we had and provided the added benefits of a more energy efficient and comfortable house due to the insulation as well as better indoor air quality. The work was done in four days and at considerably less cost than a competing contractor bid to do it. Another person that we had inspecting house later looked at the crawlspace and commented, "Wow!
