"Smart electric did such an amazing job! Joe and his crew were friendly, helpful, fast and meticulous with their work. We hired them for a large project that included running Cat6 Ethernet all through the home, adding outlets, adding COAX cables, adding fans/lights to the bedrooms, adding can lights, installing a natural gas generator and automatic switch over, terminating all the cat6 and coax to a server area, install WiFi hotspots in the ceiling, surround sound speakers in the family room, recessed power and wiring for the TV in the Family Room above the fireplace including a smurf tube. And the list goes on and on. They will be my first any work in the future."

"We didn't have working lights in a favorite room. McCarthy Electric were able to come out that day, troubleshoot the issue and fix the problem at the quoted price. The electrician was polite, respectful and competent. We will call them first if electricians are needed in our future."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Jack came & removed the wallpaper, he was very helpful, dedicated to the task & professional, offering solutions to any issues that came up. He returned another day to texture the walls very carefully, making sure to protect all other surfaces. Then he & his team returned to paint , which in some areas of the bathroom needed a third coat to meet his satisfaction. They also moved all furniture & painted the master bedroom & replaced all furniture. It was a wonderful experience, we feel like we have a new master suite. I would highly recommend Jack to anyone. Also wanted to mention Jack was the lowest of 3 estimates"

"Very fair rates and extremely professional work. They installed 18 can lights throughout the home, 4 ceiling fans and 2 pendants. They even called the fan manufacturer to troubleshoot why one wasn’t working to find out the receiver was faulty. They came back to complete the install of the fan when the new receiver came in for no additional service charge which I really appreciated as I wasn’t being nickled and dimed. They will be my go to guys for all electrical and lighting needs."

"Our house was damaged by a slow water leak. Hardwood floors and drywall in our kitchen, dining room, and living room had to be removed as well as lower cabinets in the kitchen. Damaged insulation required replacement under floors and in exterior walls. Signature Restoration (owner: Andrew Lomakin) was the most professional and easiest contractor to work with of several I interviewed for repair bids. They installed, sanded, and finished new hardwood floors. They removed, replaced, textured, and painted drywall. They installed all new kitchen cabinets and restored plumbing, and appliances. They put in a new handrail and balusters between the kitchen and family room. Although not damaged by the water, we asked Signature Restoration to install a new skylight and new ceiling light fixtures in our kitchen. Their work was highest quality and quickly done. Andrew always kept us up to date on work progress and completion schedules, and his employees were very reliable and easy to work with. I always appreciated Andrew's total honesty and willingness to discuss any issue with me whenever I had questions. I will call Signature Restoration if my house needs major repair or if I decide to remodel it in the future. I would gladly recommend Andrew Lomakin and Signature Restoration to anyone who needs this type of work."

"

Joe arrived about an hour and a half after I called. He inspected the area, told me what he planned to do, then he and his helper got to work. They got all the water out, cleaned the carpets, sanitized everything and cleaned up quickly.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Most duct booster fans are not designed to run continuously, though some models can be programmed for constant operation. Typically, they are controlled by the user via a switch, controls on the unit itself, or by being wired to the HVAC system's thermostat. Wiring the fan to a thermostat allows it to run automatically only when heating or cooling is active, which saves energy and is an effective way to activate the fan only when needed to address issues like uneven room temperatures.

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

A tripped circuit breaker, broken pull chain, faulty wiring, or a bad motor or capacitor are all common causes for a fan to stop working.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.
