Northwest Electric & Solar

Electrical for Home Addition or Remodel Installation, Electrical for Home Addition, Electrical Wiring or Panel Upgrade,

About us

I have always wanted to learn and do something about solar in Washington, I went to get trained and certified in the field. I have found another love in my industry….. free electricity using the sun! As an electrician and solar installer, we can get the project done faster and less expensive than anyone else around. Basically cutting out the middle man in both projects. We can also figure out ways to drop the usage of watts in the home by using different methods of products in the electrical industry, lowering your house bills and “ going green “. I have always had a passion for my work and take great pride in the work that I do. I have always had great and long relationships with customers, contractors and inspectors. As an electrician, I can say that I can offer just about anything under the sun…. Additional email - [email protected].

Worst Experience I've ever had with a contractor. I'm a year after they finished and plugs are falling out of the wall when I unplug things. My basement flooded as a result of them not rewiring the plug for the sump pump to the right spot, then they plugged into the spot they WERE SUPPOSED to fix the outlet (so it didn't have a GFCI reset button on the outlet) then they incorrectly marked the new panel for how to get power back on to it. There's two outlets that haven't worked since they did their job (but they;re in a part of the house they didn't work on, so they claim they're not responsible). They failed to rewire our porch light and blamed our builders for putting a nail through a wire, that was a blatant lie. The simplest things like a smurf tube they installed they failed to install an insert with a ******* hole in it so that I could pull a wire through it. They took zero responsibility for their work, even though one of their electricians told me point blank he was going to "work faster" so he could take a vacation early. Apparently his "work faster" just meant doing a **** job. Thanks for nothing NWE&S. Do not work with them unless you want to be left holding the bag to redo most of it.

Overall, an OK result and I am relatively satisfied. The primary work was done completely and to code. There was decent initial communication when setting up the job, but there were details that were not handled as discussed and post-issue communication was minimal. A relatively major code issue was noticed after the job was about 1/2 complete and should have been obvious even during the initial quote visit. They addressed this issue without effecting the quoted price, but some details of the implementation were not done as agreed and required the homeowner to perform additional work and clean-up. Owner reached out to me once, but we never got to talk. They reduced the price a bit, but not enough to cover the additional work that was required to meet the agreed upon details.

It went very well. I had a plumber there from a different company as the time was short and they worked together beautifully. It was done during a super busy time this summer but both companies, In House Electric and Apollo plumbing did a great job very quickly.

Everything went great; the office contacted me immediately and scheduled the service. I wasn't sure if I wanted 6 or 10 circuit, so they arrived with both. I opted for 6 circuit. He installed everything, looked good. I didn't have cable to test while he was there.
The following weekend I turned off the power, and hooked up the generator and flipped power on all 6 circuits. Everything was working, and also balanced (important) between each side.
Running every light, fan, furnace,TV, etc. I was only running about 2000 watts total, which was a bit surprising. I am looking forward to the power going out (only for a day or so! ), ha ha! Thanks Northwest Electric and Solar.

I would recommend this contractor based on my experience today. The lights were installed with minimum holes in my ceiling. Jeff, the electrician provided helpful tips and a referral to a drywall contractor. The lights make such a huge difference in my kitchen and helped to create more visual interest in a vast open kitchen. The pricing was VERY competitive. Thank you to Jeff and Derek for your assistance with my small project.

Showed up on time set a game plane, gave us a timeline and was done earlier then he said. Even added a fixture suggestion to make us feel more confident in our purchase. I will be using them again for a more significant electrical job soon.

The service was great.  The new line had to be brought out into the back yard about 80 feet, and then hooked up to the new heat pump.  Then I asked if they could also bring out a another regular electrical line so I could plug in my filter and have a space outlet in that space.  It was no problem for them to redo the estimate and get both lines in.  I am extremely happy with the result.

Chris discussed the issue of the space heater with us and offered an alternative option, involving installing a space heater that runs on 110 volts.  He covered up the holes in the wall that were left after removal of the existing space heater.  He promised to e-mail us the info on the new space heater.  He was friendly, professional, and tidy.  He called ahead to warn us about a slight delay in his arrival time because of traffic.  We are happy with his work.  By the way, Jeramy at the office also does a great job with the scheduling and communication.  This company gets an "A" and we will use them again in the future.
