"We have used MTU Services LLC twice in the last 3 years. Two projects involving extreme foundation repair for our home in Spokane, WA. Mark and his crew are OUTSTANDING in every way! MTU has old fashion values, no price gouging, detailed bids and the crew is excellent in communication with the home owner while on site each day. Our major repairs took months because the original builder in the 1950's did not put in appropriate footers and a portion of our house began to sink. MTU also completely gutted a basement room that was compromised, jack hammered the concrete out, installed new metal ceiling beams, posts, dug new footers, metal mesh on the floor, poured and leveled the brand new floor. The hardest working real men I have seen in decades and no complaining what soever. Mark is great in keeping in touch with home owner on any questions, concerns, and is excellent on educating the homeowner along the way. "I don't leave a lot of reviews, but the Groundwork crew and the encapsulation work are exceptional, so here goes. We have a pretty large crawl space under our 30-year old house. The team (Wyatt, Zane L. And Volodymyr M.) worked really diligently to get the 5 day job done. They managed a huge amount of cleared-out debris, and thoroughly cleaned up all of the construction material after they installed. No sign of any dust, garbage or debris after they finished the job. Not even a staple. The encapsulation looks fantastic and it's so nice to have the area dry, insulated and clean. Oh, and they were able to install the dehumidifier in a place that is easily accessible when we need to clean the filter. Just really glad we decided to do this. Wyatt S. Went out of his way to keep us well informed of when the team coming each day, when they took breaks and when they were going home at night. "Purchased a 1906 home in North Portland with an uneven foundation that had been patched for 60 years, but needed serious stabilization work. I contacted multiple foundation contractors in the greater-Portland area and Ram Jack was the only team that provided a full worse-case estimate that included everything that I may need to permanently stabilize the home's foundation. Other contractors' estimates were higher, omitted some of the features of Ram Jack's estimate, and involved greater excavation work around the home. While I was collecting estimates, I had multiple contractors check the levels on the house and could see the home was continuing to sink as much as half and inch in some areas within only a few months, so I knew I had to do something soon as the hotter summers are causing significant erosion to the clay soil in north portland. After paying the 50% down payment, I was quickly in touch with multiple project managers and structural engineers who were able to answer my questions as the work plan developed. I work from home and have two cats, so I was a bit worried about the noise and needing to leave at certain times during the work. Ramjack devised a plan of installing 12 helical piers from the basement and 2 outside for a small crawl space area as well as replacing most of the piers in the basement that had water damage. During the excavation and pier installation, I didn't have to leave my house at all, my cats were fine, none of the utilities ever needed to be turned off and none of the neighbors said they heard more than the hum of the generator outside; insane professionalism. The work team kept me informed at every step of the excavation and pier installation and was able to recover an inch of lift with only a few drywall cracks that I patched in a day. I could have gone further, but wanted to avoid any potential damage to the sewer pipes and stay within my budget. During the lifting, I was standing with the lead construction manager who kept me informed of every risk as we lifted the house bit by bit. During the excavation my basement looked insane with mounds of dirt everywhere, but the construction team cleaned everything flawlessly; all I had to do was a quick mop and the basement was good as new again. Overall had a great experience with RamJack; the 20 years in business shows, most everyone I dealt with had been working with them for years; the construction manager had been doing pier installation for 15 years. The work was expensive, but cheaper than the other local contractors, and certainly way cheaper than replacing the entire basement foundation. Ramjack was even able to take a few grand off the intitial worse-case estimate for solutions not needed. Glad I was able to repair my 120 year old home; here's to another 100 years. "We were so pleased with the quality of work performed by Tall Pines Construction on our large, extensive bathroom remodel that we hired Tall Pines to install new flooring--engineered acacia wood--throughout our entire home (except for the bathrooms). It was a huge job, but we're so glad we did it. The floors look like a work of art. While doing the floors, Tall Pines also changed all our floor boards and interior trim around windows and doors to give our house a sharp new appearance and feel. The crew were a delight to work with and to have in our home. Late August while having some siding work and shingle replacement done on our exterior, rot was discovered in two areas. We called Tall Pines, and they quickly came out to the house, assessed the damage and repaired it before the rains set it.
