We Had Southwest Plumbing come to our house to attatch a hose bib that my husband wasn’t able to do because of the angle of the piping. He had the crawl space totally accessible and plenty of room to it as well as cob webs etc cleaned out of there. Hose bib was already removed from house. We also had a new hose bib on hand. It took the plumber 7 min to do the job. They quoted 1048.00 and we assumed they would deduct a couple hundred off when the job was done, it could not have been easier for the plumber. Again 7 min job…….. I have reached out to them 3 times to talk to Andrew which I’m sure is a manager. He has NOT returned our call. A call back and parcial refund would make all the difference as the plumber did his job well. With assessing the job they were at our house a total of 50 minutes and it cost over a 1000.00, very unacceptable. We are hoping they will make this right.

Audie and Jeff came out to assess my kitchen faucet. For several months the handle would loosen until it flopped around. We would tighten it just for it to flop again in a day or two. They were polite, professional and made sure I had all the information I needed to make my decision which was to replace the facet. This company responds quickly and keeps you informed. Asked for a spigot replacement, the parts even at Home Depot at most is 50 dollars, they wanted me to pay 1800 dollars for 45 minutes worth of work. I know because I had a spigot already replaced by another plumbing company for 300 dollars. So for 45 minutes of light labor, they wanted to charge me 1750 dollars an hour. After I said no that’s not something I was willing to pay they reduced it to 1200, alas that is still high way robbery. This isn’t an emergency, the packing nut leaks when it’s on. I had difficulty changing it and figured it would be just wiser to replace the whole unit. I didn’t really want to get into my crawl space but even at my current salary it isn’t gonna take me 35 hours to complete a project like this. It’s pex tubing that all it needs to be done is cut use an expander tool and then slide it onto the fitting, screw in spigot and caulk. Don’t waste your time on a company who doesn’t treat you anymore than an open wallet. You are paying for their commercials not for a product.

The job was very professionally done. Trevor and Michael did an excellent job under difficult circumstance, since I live in a manufactured home and they had to get under the house through a small crawl space to make the repairs.

The work done by your serviceman Mark was successful. He was on time, a gentleman, thorough and helpful. My reluctance in giving a rating of 5 was due to the cost, $463.54 in total for work that was performed in 40 min. Excluding tax, that translates into $631 an hour which to me is outrageous. Also, I remembered after the fact that seniors receive a 10% discount but I wasn't asked if I qualify. Terry

Went very well. The plumbing technician did a thorough job of checking our piping and also vleaned out a clogged drain. The electrical technician identified outlets that needed to be changed to meet code. Electrical work was very expensive though.

my tankless water heater had an error code 11, which had something to do with the heating component. The first company I called which had a 4.9 google rating, arrived 4 hours from the time I called them. They charge $99 for a service call. To make a long story short, the tech told me I need to replace my unit with a new one, which was only 8 years old. Told him to leave and called Southwest plumbing. Brandin arrived 45min later and he knew right away what might be the problem. He performed some maintenance on the burners and it was fixed within 45 minutes. Will definitely call them before any other company.

They do not do estimates prior to arrival simply due to the fact they charge five times what the job is worth. They gave me an estimate of $1,500 for a job that would take less than an hour with less than $20 in materials. Do not use them

These guys are THE WORST!! I repeat THE WORST!!!!! They clearly take advantage of their customers by charging thousands more than other honest and reliable plumbers. They charged us $1,500 to assess and diagnose a sewer blockage. Other honest companies charge nothing for this. Furthermore, they quoted us 3x what other honest plumbers quoted for the project. Jim should be ashamed of running such a criminal business.

This is a negative review for South West Plumbing for good reason. They over charge for services, by a lot! I had an issue with my tankless water heater. It quit working after 5 years, started beeping. By the time we got to it, it was working again. We called SW Plumbing, they came out right away. They did a “minor” service on the tankless water heater which was a citric acid flush of the inside of the heater coils to remove scale, something that should be done on a frequent basis. They charged $599 (my billing) for this service, and it took less than 1.5 hours. 2 days later, the tankless water heater quit working again. This time we saw error code, #11, which is either dirty igniters or natural gas interruption. YouTube revealed how to clean igniters. It took me, an inexperienced person, less than 15 minutes to remove 4 screws and clean 3 igniters right on the front of the unit. The unit is now working. I decided to check pricing from other companies for a citric acid cleaning, which is a standard service for a tankless water heater. The highest quote I got was $450, which included the time to come to my address. Generally, the bigger plumbing companies, the ones with ads on TV, quoted $300 to $450 for this service. Smaller plumbing service companies, local to my address, quoted less. If you do an internet search for this service, the price goes down to as low as $100. No company charges as much as $599. I decided to go back to SW Plumbing to see if I could get some sort of compensation for charging so much and NOT fixing the problem. I do not mind paying extra for a quality service but to pay extra and NOT get quality service, is a problem for me. The people sent to my house should had known that igniters could be a problem if the heater goes out. Since this is such a simple task to perform, you would think it would be included in the “minor” service, but at SW Plumbing, it is not. It is included in their “major” service, which is $1184 (per Andrew 10/24/22). Now, granted, the “major” service includes more, but the igniter cleaning only takes 15 minutes at most and since the heater quit working, should had been done by a qualified, knowledgeable plumber exploring why a tankless water heater quit working. SW Plumbing did not do anything to amend overcharging for this service. They told me they do not match pricing and they will not refund any money. In other words, they are not interested in repeat business from me or any of my tenants. They just overcharge and hope the customer does not realize it.

Please beware of pricing with this company! We discovered a toilet leak, with water dripping into a storeroom below. They told us there would be an $89 fee just to come out, which is not unusual, and that the plumber would be prepared to do the work if we wished. The first 20 minutes after the two plumbers' arrival were spent trying to upsell us on a variety of things not related to our immediate problem. The work ultimately consisted of cutting a small hole in the ceiling of the storeroom (easy access with everything previously cleared out of the way), and resetting the toilet, putting in a new wax ring. The work took less than an hour. The cost? The "itemized" invoice lists $614.23 for "leak search in small area" and $570.89 for "pull and reset toilet." Plus tax and minus a 5% senior discount our total bill was $1,241.26. When I questioned the plumber about the charges, his answers were first, "Well you wouldn't think it was so much if you saw how much customers on my last call paid," and second, "I offered some 'bundles' which you didn't want." A day later I talked to a service manager who talked about how high their overhead was and how expensive Seattle is. He said that the time to do a particular job varies significantly as they have both experienced and less experienced plumbers and because of that, they charge by the job rather than by the hour (plus materials.) Our charges were "right out of our pricebook," he said. I also asked about the time spent on trying to sell us services we didn't ask for or want, and point blank asked if plumbers receive a commission and he said yes. I did receive a $200 refund after my call - but still, way overpriced and not at all transparent about pricing. Would never use again.

We asked up front for the price, they said they must come out (trip charge $90) and check. Guys came out a day later than scheduled, and gave a price that did not actually require them to be there (2 x $3200 default price for the 2 fixture work plus $2400 for pulling a permit). Permit in King county for 2 fixtures is $210 if I apply myself. They could have provided this same pricing over the phone, I would have laughed at them. I am sorry that I actually ever called them. Way over priced, totally unprofessional way to run a business. This should be a learning for others.

well I couldn't get to it for my 95 year old neighbor I had to work and was out of town told him to call southwest plumbing because I see there ads on tv and though they would be fair How wrong I was, they told him that it needed replaced to a tune of 1000 dollars being 95 he said he had no choice but to replace it as for they didn't have a fix for it well I told him to wait and i could do it on Saturday but he wanted it fix right away so I told him to have them leave the old one so today I needed a faucet look I have bob's old one i put it on put in 2 new washers at 1.40 cents it works perfect this company doesn't fix things they replace them at a cost that was almost a thousand times the cost for 2 washer this company is a rip off and thieves a handy man could have done better

I have made a report to Adult Protective Services. 300% more than competitors. Took advantage of an elderly friend who has some age related vision and hearing loss. Had her sign a contract for $30,000 which she does not have.
