Excellent work by Wyatt, Tucker,Zane and Oliver. Finished a day ahead of schedule. Great communication and explanation of required work. Left with everything cleaned up as if they were never here.

Matthew came out for our annual inspection and servicing this morning. He showed up on time, was professional, polite, well spoken, and worked in a timely fashion. He did an excellent job of explaining the results of the service, as well as giving us a detailed estimate on repairing our concrete in the future. Overall, Matthew's work was top notch and I'd give him a 5-star review. Thank you!

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but the Groundwork crew and the encapsulation work are exceptional, so here goes. We have a pretty large crawl space under our 30-year old house. The team (Wyatt, Zane L. And Volodymyr M.) worked really diligently to get the 5 day job done. They managed a huge amount of cleared-out debris, and thoroughly cleaned up all of the construction material after they installed. No sign of any dust, garbage or debris after they finished the job. Not even a staple. The encapsulation looks fantastic and it's so nice to have the area dry, insulated and clean. Oh, and they were able to install the dehumidifier in a place that is easily accessible when we need to clean the filter. Just really glad we decided to do this. Wyatt S. Went out of his way to keep us well informed of when the team coming each day, when they took breaks and when they were going home at night. He shared progress photos each day and addressed all of my concerns. I've worked with many contractors and these guys are at the top of their game.

We had two crews working to address the water in our crawlspace. Thanks to David, Derick, Jordan and Sam, along with Wyatt, Tucker, and Quentin! And thanks to Kirsten for coming out initially and explaining the Groundworks approach. Though not new to the Pacific NW, we had recently located to the far NW corner of WA. The proposed work was finished in record time (and they managed to get us in a week before the scheduled work). This is no small patch but a wholesale addressing of the problem. It wasn’t cheap, but the thoroughness of the solution is keeping us comfortable and dry! Thanks Groundworks!

We inherited a little cabin with a post and beam foundation that had settled quite a bit over the years. Dan offered creative and cost effective alternatives to level the foundation. We decided to go with the SmartJack system for our project and are very happy with the results.

Throughout the process of evaluating our needs, getting the bid, through completion of the work, Dan was always timely with appointments and the work schedule, and we greatly appreciated his professionalism, regular communications and updates. The site was always clean and tidy and the crew was very friendly and helpful. The office team members were always friendly, professional and responsive too. 

While the SmartJack system was not an inexpensive solution, it will serve us well for many years to come. We highly recommend Dan Malsch and Rainy Day Basements.

I was unhappy with the fact that he was unable to give me a full appraisal of the situation and an estimate of the costs at the time of the first appointment

It was a difficult decision due to cost, however it provides peace of mind, improved health benefits and extends the life of the home.  The most time consuming part for us was the walk through of all the components and options available as provided by the company representative.  In hindsight, this was probably the most valuable time spent to fully understand what we felt we needed and why.  He provided some different lower cost options, but we decided to go with a complete clean space system.  The crew started about a month later, and it took about 9 days over a 3-week period to complete.  The crew were polite, on time and did a very professional job.  We are very happy with the results to date.

The office called the day before the scheduled day to confirm.  Kevin called twenty minutes out to let me know the arrival time.  He arrived exacly on time. We discussed a minor question I had and he went to work.  He performed an extremely thorough maintenance.  I am a maintenance person and know the procedure.  He found the bad level indicator.  We discussed the problem and he replaced it.  Throughout the whole appointment he was pleasant and engaging.  I almost enjoyed giving the company my money.  
This is a very professional company from management, to office to field personnel.

Perfect job.  No complaints.  Helped me arrange for wiring in the crawl space.  Oveall very satisfied.  Crew was friendly and knowledgable and very neat.  Cleaned up all debris 100%.

I had a pretty good experience with them. They were pretty hard workers. Their demeanor was real good. They were professional. Their price seemed like quite a bit, but we could not find anybody else that would actually come to our area to compare, so we did not really have a choice. They were there when they said they would be.

Dan and his team completed a large patio remodel and repair for us, and the project turned out very well.  The team worked efficiently, and was very careful to avoid damaging any of our landscaping, (aside from unavoidable damage to some grass from the machinery).  Dan kept us informed about the progress, and what we could expect to be happening as the work continued.  The patio is now beautiful, but more importantly, structurally sound and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Moisture started coming through the cement seams at the very first rain after installation. I called him three days ago (Friday). There was no answer so I left a message describing what was going on and stated that he needed to address this. Still no response.

I contacted the office and then he contacted me and explained that he never received the message I sent. I know that we do not always receive all our messages as this has happened before with others. He came out and and checked out the situation and then told me  that the cement is porous and water vapor will come through it until the cement gets harder with age. I will need to seal the cement with a polyurethane sealer to stop all vapor.  A non water solvable type.

Then he gave me some good advice on remodeling my basement. Was very helpful. I believe he is a good man with a good heart.

A few weeks later and the moisture is much less now. I will seal the concrete in near future to insure no vapor.

They were professional and thurough. They called us right back and scheduled a time to come over to meet with us. They came when they said they were going to come and they did what they said they were going to do.

They did a really good job, above and beyond what was expected. They are a really stand up company, when I did run into issues they went above and beyond my expectations.

It has made an enormous difference in our basement. It made our basement really usable and no longer toxic.
