"Extremely well. I had work done last year that left me with no lawn, sod rolls that died, undelivered items, and a lot to be corrected. Juan and his crew have been able to bring back a lawn that virtually didn't exist, corrected so many items in the front and back yards, clean up the beds, install proper bark, and arborvitae, etc. In addition, the gutters (with screens) and roof were cleaned. he cost included time and materials and there were a lot of smaller things done that were by products of what was being done. He is prompt, courteous, reasonably priced, follows up with anything that needs more attention under the terms of the contract, is personable and is completely involved with his crew, who are also very competent. They all CARE about the work to be done and how it appears. I cannot say enough good things about this business."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In Longview, address hazardous trees—such as those leaning toward structures, with large dead limbs, or showing disease—right away. Schedule routine pruning or non-urgent removals during late winter or summer for best results. Planting and preventive care are ideal in spring or fall. Always prioritize tree work before storm season and respond quickly to neighbor concerns about potential safety risks.

Helpful?

After tree service in Longview, spread mulch around the tree’s drip line to conserve moisture and reduce weed growth. Adjust irrigation for newly pruned or planted trees, especially during dry spells. Watch for signs of stress or fungal issues at cut sites. Remove debris promptly to prevent pest attraction, and consider scheduling a soil health check to support root recovery and long-term tree vitality.

Helpful?

Longview homeowners increasingly favor native tree species that thrive in the Pacific Northwest climate, such as western red cedar and Douglas fir. Rain gardens are popular for stormwater management, while edible landscaping with fruit trees adds both beauty and function. Privacy screens using evergreens, pollinator-friendly plantings, and preserving mature shade trees for energy efficiency are also sought-after trends.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Longview should account for the region’s clay soils, which can affect drainage and tree stability. Plan around the area’s wet winters and dry summers to optimize timing. Prioritize preserving native trees that support local wildlife, and consider how tree placement can help with erosion control in flood-prone areas. Fire safety is also a growing concern, so maintain defensible space near structures.

Helpful?

In Longview, combining tree service with landscaping, gutter cleaning, or fence installation can streamline your home improvement process. Coordinating these projects minimizes repeated equipment traffic on your lawn and helps protect new plantings or hardscapes. Consider scheduling tree work before installing new sod or pathways to avoid damage, and use the opportunity to update your irrigation system for better yard efficiency.
