I was especially impressed that they took the time to put in the detail work, way above and beyond what was called for in the contract. For example, though we talked about staining the soffits on our overhangs in certain locations, I wasn't explicit about taking care of them everywhere on the building. Rather than have them look silly and partially done, the team took the initiative to do them completely and thoroughly. They could have easily said that the contract didn't cover doing them all, and that they required more funds to take care of it. But they didn't: they simply put job integrity and customer satisfaction first, even if it meant extra time and material that may not have been accounted for in the contract.
