"I’ve worked with many contractors over the years, but this team truly stands out. They are always on time, charge very reasonable rates (much lower compared to others), and deliver excellent quality work. Their communication, scheduling, and responsiveness are outstanding, and there are absolutely no hidden costs. Everyone on the team is friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They have done a fantastic job replacing my fence, installing Christmas lights, and cleaning and repairing my roof. I’ve decided to stick with this team for any future work. Highly recommended!"

"We hired Josiah with Gate Technologies to install a custom single swing gate for our driveway at home. He was able to take our vision, and design and build exactly what we wanted. He did all the fabrication and installation, and addressed our questions and concerns very professionally along the way, without questioning. In the world of custom gate installations, it's important to learn patience, as all providers in this space have long lead times in being able to get started. But once we were next in line, Josiah got cranking and got us an absolutely beautiful gate that works just as we envisioned. Just recently, I reached out to Josiah, as the gate electronics suddenly stopped responding. He replied within minutes and helped me do a simple reset, and it is working perfectly again. Josiah is an artist, with tons of experience, and will do everything he can to make you a happy customer with a new beautiful gate! Including a picture from when it was nearly done."

"The job went excellent. Shay repaired about 100 lineal feet of fencing that had blown down. He placed new posts in new concrete. Did all new framing and even got me a great deal on the fence boards from a local supplier rather than paying over double at the big box stores. He really cares about doing a great job and is meticulous and makes sure everything is done right instead of trying to rush through it. I woukd absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for work done around their home or property. I'll be hiring him to rebuild my deck this spring as well!"

"I could not be any happier. Scott was a pleasure to work with from the start...his plans were very professional, and he was very experienced in working with the county on getting the proper permits and approvals. Scott was there every day, rain or shine, and we did have some inclement weather for part of the project. We made a few changes on the project as we went on and Scott was always very responsive to my questions and concern. He was always very polite and had a very positive attitude throughout the deck project. Anybody who needs a beautiful deck done by a true professional cannot go wrong with Scott. I am so happy with his work I have a couple more projects that I will have Scott perform for me....he is a true craftsman, and his attention to detail and the quality of his work made this a very rewarding and happy experince...I would recommend Scott to anybody!"

"Russ had originally put on a new roof and gutters back in Feb 2008. He did a fantastic job at a very competitive price. I'm kind of a high maintenance gal and he was great answering all my questions and doing everything just how I wanted it. I already referred him to a neighbor and he has been equally happy. Both roofs have held up great. Since than I had some remodeling done on my house which included two new bathrooms, a kitchen, and new plumbing. It involved adding some vents to the roof. Needless to say the general contractor didn't do a great job on the roof vents and it was compromised as a result. After a few big rains I knew I needed to call Russ. I emailed him and he came out within the week and fixed everything properly. So happy for the quick response and willingness to fix someone else's mistake. Thank you Russ!

"Jon's work is as good as it gets! We have a rental property that we're preparing to put on the market. It needed a number of repair and update tasks completed, some small and some not-so-small. Everything from replacing siding to building a set of outside stairs to revamping a tile entryway to simply tightening some loose faucets. Jon has been ready, willing and more than able to meet every one of our requests, and his final work is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again, and will be calling on him for the "checklist" at our own home, too."

Yes, most states require a fencing installer to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed fence installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
When choosing a driveway gate, consider the fence material, whether you want an automatic gate or a manual one, and property limitations like the slope of your driveway. We recommend speaking with a professional driveway gate installer to see what types of gates will work on your property based on your fencing or home’s exterior. Keep in mind that driveway gates should range between 10 to 12 feet wide to ensure cars can easily maneuver through the gateway.
Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type.
Driveway gates are expensive to install, but they are usually a worthwhile investment. Not only does this exterior feature improve your curb appeal and, by extension, your property value, but they also help keep your home secure. Driveway can keep out unwanted guests and provide additional privacy for you and your household. Plus, they can serve as a means of keeping children and pets in your yard, depending on the type of fence.
The average cost to install a driveway gate is around $3,500, and prices usually total between $1,900 and $6,000. However, security and driveway gates can cost as much as $12,000. Some cost factors include the size of the gate, the type of gate, the gate material, and the security level of the gate. A wrought iron gate will be more expensive than a PVC driveway gate, which will typically cost more than a wood gate. Automated gates are always more expensive than manual ones, as they require additional electrical installation.
