"Great experience. Kevin came in promptly to provide an estimate and also went beyond by putting a protective covering on the broken glass while we waited for glass replacement. Prompt communication and everything was done on time."

"Best local windows company! This is 2nd time we chose Bel-Red Windows & Doors. Their quotes were the lowest we got, and the quality of work was superior! The 2nd time the manufacturer made one of the big window wrong side, the installer told me to hold on the payment until they came back to replace the window. I wouldn't be able to tell the mistake if the installer didn't tell me. They made a rush request to manufacturer and fixed the problem in a few days."

"I recently had 5 bedroom windows, one Living room window, and a Sliding glass door installed by Renewal By Anderson. The team arrived at the time they said they were going to arrive. They placed mats down to protect the floors. I had a large water bed in on room which the guys took care of and were willing to work around. I had bars on another window which I was able to cut off but the bolts remained. They were able to cut the bolts out for me. Thanks Cody G, Tyler P, and Justin R. for your hard work!"

"We replaced all the windows in our house (darn near 60!) along with 4 doors because it was time. We shopped the job around and Lake Washington came out on top not just with a fair price, but they had me convinced that they had the know how and logistics capability to pull the job off smoothly. Boy did they ever! Over the course of two weeks we got the pleasure of working with excellent crews (Denzel, Jordan, Ricky, Justin, Christiano, Andy, and a bunch more whose names I've forgotten) who made construction in my house as pleasant as possible. The install crews were extremely efficient, clean, and thorough - we were always able to live in the place at the end of the day, and every bit of install looks immaculate. These folks are truly some of the best that I've ever worked with to get something done in my place, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arose."

"Had sliding glass doors replace with French doors. The crew that came to install the doors was top-notch. Efficient and did such beautiful work. They also trimmed out the doors (exterior and interior) after the installation and the work is beautiful. Totally enjoying my new doors. Thank you!!"

"Sean was awesome from the get-go. He was incredibly responsive, answered all my questions, and gave me a "best guess" number over the phone even before he had seen the window that was being replaced. He then showed up with his team (exactly on time) and they did the measurements and were right on with their initial estimate. The glass was a few weeks out to order (given the size) but right when they got it, Sean called and set up a delivery. Again, they were right on time within the window that they said for doing the install and were quick to get the old window out, and the new one put in place. It went perfectly, and it looks as good as new. I will use them again any time I have anything glass related 100%. Thanks guys."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.

Despite their popularity and modern styling, glass railings have a few drawbacks. The first is their high initial cost. While they cost little to maintain, they can be costly to install. Also, scratches and chips in the glass are highly visible and require repairs. Additionally, glass railings require frequent cleaning to maintain their good looks.

DIY is possible for small mirrors. Professional installation ensures secure mounting for large or heavy mirrors.
