"I had Mike install a couple of new outlets in my bedroom, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. He had to run new wiring and cut into the drywall in a few spots, but he made such clean cuts and patched everything back so neatly that all I had to do afterward was a little spackling and paint. Everything was done efficiently, looked great, and the price was very reasonable. I’d absolutely hire him again!"

"Joseph was very helpful and professional from the initial phone conversation. Starting with diagnosing the problem, arriving on time prepared and equipped with a new transformer and installing it and testing it out to see if there were any other issues with the Ring doorbell. I would definitely recommend Smart Electric to anyone looking for low voltage residential solutions and would also reach out to SE for future low voltage electrical issues."

"Everything went well from the initial quote to the installation. Everyone I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. I had an EV charger installed, and they talked through all the options and the different costs. On the day of the installation, the team did great work, they cleaned up the worksite, and they communicated clearly."

"Seatown installed ductless heating/AC in our home. They did an amazing job getting the install done in just two days. Tyler and Isaiah were at the house working late on a Friday to get the job done. They were friendly, patient, and took the time to explain the plan and expectations of the job each day. We are very satisfied with the installation and the product. I highly recommend the team from Seatown!"

"I didn't hire Beeline because the timing didn't work out. However, they were very nice. Kevin came out and game me an estimate even though all of the electric companies I have talked to charge by the hour. Had the timing worked, I would have hired them."

"We’ve had Jeramie work on a couple of projects in our home and recently hired Tile Decor to install a new gate on one side of our house, and replace an old gate on the other side. Jeramie was good with communicating his expected timeframe and cost prior to starting the job. Any deviations from the original estimate and timeframe were communicated to us right away. Tile Decor did a quality job on our gates and I am very happy with the results. Jeramie and his staff were courteous and professional. Not only would I hire them again, but I would also recommend them."

"Friendly, clean and patient with EV Charger installation, explaining the system. Make sure to ask if the proposed installation maxes out the charge capacity of your charger, or what is the cost of an option to max it out. Typical installs are for 48 amps, but some vehicles and chargers can go up to 50 amps, requiring a 70 amps circuit and breaker."

"Three of our ceiling lights in the kitchen quit responding to the light switch. Skyline was able to come fix it on the same day of my request for service. They accurately quoted their price and arrival window over the phone, called to let me know when they were on their way, and were kindly accommodating with our no shoes in the house policy. We also asked how much it would cost for them to fix our doorbell, and they let us know that it would be easy enough to fix ourselves."

Doorbell Installation questions, answered by experts

The most insulative type of insulation for behind drywall is spray foam insulation, but this is the most expensive insulation available. The most common insulation—sometimes considered the best for the value you get for the money—is fiberglass roll or fiberglass batt insulation, which is significantly more affordable but also far less insulative. The best kind of insulation for your house will also vary based on the climate in your area, your budget, and more. A professional insulation company can help you decide which type is best for your home.

While insulation is required for all exterior walls in a house, it is not typically required for interior walls. Local and state building codes mandate that new construction homes have adequate insulation in exterior walls and ceilings to suit the local climate.

However, there are several benefits to adding insulation to interior walls. It is excellent for sound-dampening between rooms and can help with temperature control by maintaining a regulated temperature in specific rooms and lowering heat transfer between adjacent areas. Insulating interior walls can also contribute to the overall energy efficiency of your home.

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

The lifespan of crawl space insulation depends on how well you maintain your insulation and the type of insulation. Fiberglass will need replacing every 15 to 20 years on average if you don't have a vapor barrier in place. If you do have vapor barriers in place, then your insulation could last much longer. Spray foam insulation can last anywhere from 80 to 100 years.

We do not recommend fiberglass insulation for soundproofing purposes, especially if you are working on a room that’s part of your living space. Fiberglass insulation is dangerous, and the installation process is hazardous. It is also harmful to the environment. When there are so many newer, healthier non-fiberglass alternatives in the market, the lower cost of fiberglass insulation simply doesn’t justify the harm and danger it poses.
