"James Corbin has a professional business and is very responsive to his customer’s business calls. In addition, James is very accommodating to the needs of the customer’s schedule to perform the service. Furthermore, I was very impress with Corbins Cleaning when the service was rendered one day in advance. In fact, my initial service date was schedule on Saturday; however, James was near my community in Stafford on Friday. Therefore, he notified me of the service was going to be completed on Friday instead of Saturday. In all honesty, this was the first time using Corbins Cleaning and have verbally recommended this business to my friends, as well as I’ll be calling James in the future for my power washing projects. Overall, grade A customer service and performance of service rendered!!!"

"Here is my factual review to explain why I gave Painting by Rick and Company a grade of C here on Angie’s List. *Rick was very professional and pleasant when giving the estimate for painting my entire 1500ft condo. I chose only 2 colors with the majority of the home being ONE neutral color. I chose him because his was a local family business, had many years of experience, & was listed as an Angie’s List Super Service Award Winner.  He told me that the job would take 2 days. I asked him again when he showed up with the crew for the actual beginning of the job and he said again that it would only take 2 days with no problems. *Rick’s business card states that he is licensed and insured.  He has a business license for Clarke County Virginia, and no contractor’s grade license.  Rick is adequately insured via Erie Insurance. *The crew of 3 people showed up on time the first day with Rick to explain work to be done.  The crew lead was bilingual so I felt at ease knowing I could communicate with them. Let me say that there was absolutely NOTHING that they had to do except mask and paint. ALL furniture was moved to the center of the rooms and covered for them.  ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS PAINT!!!.  Nonetheless, they seemed to have a shortage of tarps. I had to repeatedly remind workers to keep the carpet protected while they were working and had to move tarps around myself to protect my floors. They had to clean paint drops out of my carpet on 3 separate occasions, and then only because I pointed that out to them.*The first day went well with the foyer, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom done with 2 coats, and the living room/dining room area started with 1 coat of paint. The problem was….in the contract I stated I wanted Sherwin Williams Super Paint (more expensive) and they instead used Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 which is less expensive and eco friendly.  When I told Rick this he apologized and said he must have confused me with another customer that day.  That was it. He didn’t offer to refund the price difference per gallon, which to me isn’t the point. The point is that he gave me the wrong paint, he did NOTHING to try to compensate for the mistake.*The second day was a waste of everyone’s time, energy, and resources with 4 people this time! They had to keep redoing the edges of two accent walls where the two different paint colors met. Nothing complicated, just four wall edges in total for the home. They either let the paint dry too much, or taped over wet paint so that when they took the tapes off it peeled the paint off. This happened repeatedly throughout the day.  I had to point out places that needed touch up in the one bathroom from the previous day (and now 3 weeks later I have noticed other missed places in that bathroom that need touchups!) I pretty much stayed out of their way the 2nd day, even leaving the home for hours at a time because... like I said all they had to do was PAINT."

"The quality of the work was great, but the customer service was awful. I had several issues just getting them to show up to do the work once I purchased a deal on here. At one point they told me my check wouldn't clear their bank (when it had cleared mine), and that they couldn't complete the work until that was resolved. Eventually things were sorted out and the work was completed, but it took 6 weeks for a 400 sq. foot patio."

"I used an Angie's List coupon that Family Movers had available...using 2 movers for 2 hours. They were very professional, punctual and responsive. They completed the job in a little more than 1 hour and that was will some driving. If I need movers again, I would hire them."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.

Yes, many professionals use dustless or water-based blasting methods for reduced environmental impact.

Sandblasting removes old paint, rust, and grime efficiently, providing a clean surface for refinishing.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.
