"Service was fantastic. Mike was great on the phone when answering all my questions and scheduling the service. Thomas showed up to do the work. He was right on time, super friendly, and the service was great. The job was perfect. He cleaned up afterwards so well that it almost looked like he cleaned out all my flower beds. I will definitely call these guys again. Family business that is a pleasure to work with."

"Don Jenkins and his team did an excellent job removing dead trees, thinning out smaller trees, and eliminating vines and choking undergrowth from an overgrown 1/2 acre area. He was professional, punctual, and did exactly what he promised to do, He charged a reasonable price for a 2 1/2 day, four-man job that produced six truckloads of wood-chips. The area is dramatically improved and will be easy to maintain. I highly recommend Limb 2 Limb Tree Service for similar projects."

"James Corbin has a professional business and is very responsive to his customer’s business calls. In addition, James is very accommodating to the needs of the customer’s schedule to perform the service. Furthermore, I was very impress with Corbins Cleaning when the service was rendered one day in advance. In fact, my initial service date was schedule on Saturday; however, James was near my community in Stafford on Friday. Therefore, he notified me of the service was going to be completed on Friday instead of Saturday. In all honesty, this was the first time using Corbins Cleaning and have verbally recommended this business to my friends, as well as I’ll be calling James in the future for my power washing projects. Overall, grade A customer service and performance of service rendered!!!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Costs depend on surface material, labor, debris disposal, and the type of blasting media used.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
