Provided prompt response to bid request. Gave estimate, said he could take care of the following week. Gave $500 deposit and he came back when he said he would and took half day to do the work. The repaired gates operate better than when the fence was originally built: I guarantee it. He said I owed him $650.00. He and his associate got $750.00 cash from me and I’m not sure the $100.00 “top” was enough. But, that’s all the cash I had. Hire this guy. If he says he can do it: he can do it. P.S. Instead of replacing the entire pull down stairs for the attic, Steve was able to improvise by using regular hardware to replace the broken hinge (OEM part no longer available).
