Began business in 1999, licensed, insured and bonded; an experienced, skilled team plus pre-qualified vendors and sub-contractors. Deposits are required depending on the scope of work, with full payment required in full at the completion of the project,

"I can't say enough about Nancy Alberts and her company, Moving On. I hired her on the advice of a friend from church. I was appointed Estate Administrator after the death of my father-in-law who had been in his home for over 50 years. His wife died 6 years ago and I don't think much of anything had ever been thrown out or given away. He refused to let his caregivers dispose of anything or they could have started the process. We were not able at our ages to deal with the heavy lifting, etc. She took care of everything, including advising on an individual to hold the sale in the home. I knew that the items that used to be so valuable years ago, including formal furniture, are going for pennies now - younger couples are not interested in items that have to be handled with care or polished and most want comfortable furniture, not antiques. I was very intrigued by what furniture and household items sold and what did not sell, but not surprised. It would have been very emotional for us to watch all the items in the house going out the door for pennies on the dollar, but that is the situation today and I was glad someone else could take care of that! We had a problem in the house at the very end. A carpet that covered the entire room had foam backing which stuck to the hardwood floor when it was removed - a real mess! Nancy knew someone who could come in and take care of that, too, which was a lifesaver! Her team was very respectful with the items in the house - saving personal things that we had not originally found, getting everything ready for the sale, putting out the enormous piles of trash, donating what did not sell and what was still usable to charity, and doing a final cleaning including buffing the hardwood floors. By the time her team finished, the house was move-in ready for sale. I warn everyone who hires a service like this that the items in older homes that people think are so valuable are just "stuff and dust collectors" to many in the younger generation. Do not expect to get what you think they're worth in a home estate sale! That is not the fault of Nancy and her team or the auctioneer - it is the reality today. I can't say enough about all the HARD WORK Nancy and her team did in a very hot and sticky month of August! We are forever grateful for everything they did."

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to [email protected] with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's 225 for 11x14's 275 for 14x17's After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

Adams Hardwood Flooring is a company with a reputation for excellence. We still believe in the values that define a handshake as a legal agreement! We are committed to providing exceptional services using the highest quality products in the industry all while offering competitive pricing. Adams Hardwood Flooring. The name you can stand on.

"Absolutely under no circumstances use Adams Flooring. Shalenday, their office manager, is truly delightful and bends over backwards to support the customer. However, she cannot overcome the inflexibility and lack of concern of their owner, Doug, who refuses to communicate via cell phone and is unwilling to work with the customer on schedules and timing. At the end of the day, I lost $900 for temporary lodging for my family to be out of the house for the job, and had to cancel the contract. Use someone else who is willing to communicate about scheduling problems, and who has at least an ounce of concern for his clients. Stay away from Adams Flooring - it could NOT have been a worse experience. I will now be selling my house without the floors being done because the other contractors are already booked through the end of the year."

Raised in Suffolk, Va Travis Williams was gifted with a natural eye and passion for all things artistic. Whether performing on the big stage through song or admiring interior architecture and design; there’s no denying his appreciation for the arts. Coming from a smaller town Travis went off to attended college at Norfolk State University in hopes to better his future. Not long after attaining his bachelor’s in business management he moved on to join the United States Air Force where he served as a military police officer. While serving his passion for interior design never died. So nearing the end of his enlistment, Travis began his first interior design venture by starting Desired Home Décor LLC. Some of his favorite projects include bold bright colors, patterns, and chic home décor. He seeks to show that with his exceptional designs every space can have exceptional taste; and you don’t have to break the bank. Taking into account being raised in a loving environment and his challenges with birthing a business Desired Home Decor values of determination, love, and family were a no brainer. He prides himself and his team on not only achieving successful designs, but also having a seamless process to fulfill client’s needs. He believes that your space should be one that you are proud to invite family and friends to. With every design Desired Home Décor aims to exceed client’s expectations by providing them with a timeless chic style and pristine transformation. Although style and a good design eye are important, it takes much more to maintain a successful interior design business and he is currently continuing education in interior design.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

After staging your Williamsburg home, keep before-and-after photos, a detailed inventory of all staged furnishings, signed contracts, and receipts for every expense. Maintain records of property condition, vendor contact details, and any compliance documentation if you’re in a historic district or HOA. Document seasonal adjustments and open house preparation notes to track what appeals most to buyers in the local market.

Helpful?

The condition of your Williamsburg property directly influences staging choices. For historic homes, accentuating original woodwork and period details is key, while newer homes benefit from modern furnishings and open layouts. Humidity and seasonal lighting affect material and color selection. Quick staging is often needed for military moves, and upscale neighborhoods may require luxury touches to attract discerning buyers.

Helpful?

To make staging in Williamsburg safer for kids and pets, secure tall furniture, choose soft-edged pieces, and use non-toxic materials. Set up designated safe zones during staging, keep walkways clear, and temporarily childproof if your family remains in the home. Opt for pet-resistant fabrics and avoid plants that could be harmful. Plan for easy cleaning and odor control, especially during humid months.

Helpful?

In Williamsburg, you’ll find full-service home staging companies, interior designers who offer property presentation, real estate agents providing staging consultations, and specialists in furniture rental, organizing, cleaning, and landscape staging. Many are experienced with colonial and historic homes, adapting staging to local buyer preferences and the unique demands of tourism and military relocations in the area.

Helpful?

If your Williamsburg home isn’t attracting showings, receives negative feedback, or lingers on the market, it may be time to refresh the staging. Signs include faded or damaged decor, outdated seasonal accents, or staging that doesn’t reflect local buyer trends. If property presentation fails to highlight historic features or outdoor spaces, updating your approach can better align with current market expectations.
