"The crew that originally came out were very efficient and friendly. They finished almost everything in the time that was stated. The only thing with them that I was concerned with was that they keep asking me what they were supposed to be doing. They knew that they were supposed to doing insulation but didn't have the details. And when i told them that I would have to go back to my paperwork they said that they would call the project manager. On the 3rd day they needed to do one last thing to an outer wall but couldn't do it because it was too cold and they were concerned that if they tried to remove the siding it would crack. They left on a Wednesday telling me that someone would contact me to come back on Saturday to finish the job. Fast forward to Friday, I get a few missed calls and then text messages saying that they had a crew in the area that wanted to come by in 30 mins. I wasn't home but finished up what I was doing to meet them at my house. When they get there they don't even know what the job is that they are supposed to be doing and don't have a ladder tall enough to reach the area. So they decided that they could do the job from the inside and said that they would need to drill a couple holes in my closets to fill the wall with insulation. They were very admit that that the holes would be repaired and the drywall fixed and painted and that someone in the company would call me and a crew would come out to do the drywall repair. So they do their part and leave. After they leave I realize that they put 6 holes in my wall. Not what i was expected but they did a decent job on plugging the hole back up with the piece of drywall that they removed. I waited for someone to call me about fixing the drywall but they didn't call. So after a week of waiting I called the company to ask about it and the mold remediation issue I was having (more on that in a sec). They seemed unaware on the drywall needing to be fixed and said they would send someone out to look at both things. A few days later someone comes out. They were unaware of the drywall repair but were there to look at the mold issue. Now about the mold issue. I will get back to the drywall in a min. So I paid for them to spray something on a strip of mold that we had in our basement and was told that after it has been sprayed that it would like nothing was ever there. Well after them spraying it twice it still looked awful. The wood looked but as black as before they came. So when these guys came to look at it they said that there was definitely no mold there. the problem was with my wood. So much for it looking like nothing was there. Now i have to hire someone else to sandblast it or something. So after these guys looked at the basement they said that they would look at the drywall. They look at it and are like "oh, i don't think we have the materials on our truck to fix this but I will take a look". They did have the materials and would tape it and mud it but weren't really experienced in drywall repairs but they knew enough to do the job. I should have stopped them right there but I thought it would be okay. Well once the mud dried I could tell what an awful job they had done. I will have to either try to fix it myself or hire someone to do it. And I probably should have called them back again but I am really tired of them sending me people that don't know what the job is before they get to my house and are not prepared. Only getting a C because the first crew was decent."

"Louis and his partner we very professional and thorough. They initially put down drop cloths to protect our floors and nearby items. The precisely installed the insulation to match up with what was already on the walls. I had 1 area that we could not clear out completely due to some heavy shelving, and they worked around the shelving and still did a great job. They ensured the new insulation was mounted correctly and attached well with the insulation that was already on the wall. They also fixed up with tape some adjacent pieces of insulation to make it look much neater. When they were finished to thoroughly cleaned up where they had performed the work. "Alex and Hector, (I believe that was their names) showed were good workers and did exactly what I requested within the allotted time.  The moved a heavy box television from the first floor to the basement, moved the flat-screen TV, VCR, cable box glass-topped stand from one side of a room to the other.  They moved my living room furniture where I wanted.  They also went to Home Depot to purchase the outdoor barrier and all equipment needed,  replaced the one that was destroyed and removed the debris from the old barrier.

"We had a horrendous situation with a basement floor installation that went wrong leaving our house full of fumes, and a week later we discovered our basement was contaminated by asbestos in the process.  When we called Bill and Contractors Unlimited, they were extremely responsive.  Although other companies gave us bids, Bill was able to work his schedule to fit us in weeks sooner than the others.  Although the cost was a bit more, that saved us money because we were displaced and could not even go into our house because of the fumes.  CU set up negative air machines to replace the air, they followed asbestos abatement laws, they cleaned every item that could be salvaged in our house.  They even saved more than we thought which really reduced our overall expense.  Bill and his team were extremely professional, friendly, helpful, and really went out of their way to ease our stress from this situation.  At the end of their process, Bill arranged for a air quality inspection which we happily passed - able to return home.  I would gladly recommend Contractors Unlimited for asbestos abatement.  I just wish we had called them before the floor guys  created such a disaster.  Thank you Bill!

"My second time using BK Contracting and I couldn't be happier. Just bought a single family home in Leesburg as an investment property. Bret's team remodeled the kitchen (installed all new appliances, fixed some plumbing and replaced the linoleum floor with tile). The kitchen looks absolutely amazing with the stainless steel appliances and the high quality floor. 

He also totally overhauled two bathrooms including the entire floor with tiles, replaced all the vanities, toilets, mirrors and lights. Basically, two whole new bathrooms. 

The basement had some shoddy work to be repaired. There were entire dry walls missing and all sorts of weird electrical cabling. Bret's team fixed all of it and honestly, it looks about as different as it gets.

All the work was completed in less than 3 weeks and I was able to place the home on time. Consequently, the home was leased out in less than 12 days to a new tenant and I could not be happier.

Best of all, I had to text Bret at odd hours on a Sunday with a broken thermostat / heater issue, and he promptly responded with valuable advice on what the problem was and how to mitigate it. Not sure who else would have given me free advice on a Sunday.

Overall, a huge fan of BK contracting. I had a flooding in my personal home earlier in 2015 and BK Contracts totally rebuilt my basement (insurance claim) and it looks so much better than before.

Bret's a real gentleman and a man of his word. He has always stayed very close or below his budget estimates and I know I will be using him for future renovations of my investment properties.

While CSI wasn't the cheapest on our list of home inspection and radon testing quotes, the cost was more than reasonable for the level of service that we received. Ron, our home inspector, was fantastic! He arrived early, and I don't think he could have been more thorough than he was! He was very friendly and personable, and was more than willing to answer our questions during the inspection. He went through the entire home with a fine toothed comb! He pointed out defects that he found, and explained things in detail. He also highlighted the positive things he found. "These guys were excellent. I had originally hired them because I needed a major rush job done and they pulled it off. Then they
continued after the main issue was resolved and came back multiple times to do an extremely thorough job waterproofing the basement.  Whereas we would find puddles down there before, we have not had any issues since they were there.  They did all kinds of things ? from putting some kind of stripping on the base of the walls to building an entire roof over my back stairs to adding a French drain to putting covers on all the basement windows. And they did all this for significantly less money than other companies quoted us - and those other guys did not offer nearly as much work!  Incredible.
The one lack I would say this company had was the timing issue. On more than one occasion were told they were on their way, but they only showed up hours later.  Also, sometimes they would be working in the basement and kind of just disappear without the work being finished, later explaining they had to run to another job. All of which was fine with me ? after the initial work, we weren?t in a big rush.  But it is something to note.
Notwithstanding that issue, we were very pleased and are recommending them to anyone who asks about such services.
