"We are so very happy with our new deck done by Avec last month. We found out about Avec through the NextDoor app and engaged Kati (owner) for a proposal in spring 2021. Kati was forthright that it would be about a month before she could schedule coming to look at the current deck, 2-3 weeks before a proposal, and about 6 months before the work could be done. All of that was no problem with us and I'm so very glad that our timetables aligned. Kati really went to bat for us with a zoning/permit issue with Ffx County, got it resolved after many hours and communicated with us throughout. This was foreshadow of how well she communicated with us as we were on their schedule and as the work progressed. We have a great completely new deck (lumber with Trex deck boards and railing caps), built to code and solid foundation, great advice of design, and it was priced well- not much more than just "resurface" and "restore" bids from other contractors. One of the best contractor experiences I could have hoped for."

It was very evident from the start that each member of his team knew their assignments and were well versed in what had to be done. AJ was on sight the entire day working side by side with the other three. His entire team are professional, polite, and willing to chat when the opportunity would allow. They did the entire 10’x12’ deck in one day and there were no issues with their craftmanship. The reason we selected Deck and Fences was from a referral and had seen their work before, and was impressed with the quality. AJ did not pressure us into a sale when he came out for an estimate. He asked what we envisioned and provide sound recommendations with multiple designs/color options.
