"Chris was such a pleasure to work with….professional yet intentive of what you wanted to accomplish …. Great advice to help u make the best choices….my kitchen is absolutely beautiful and we are so pleased….I got 3 estimates him being the last one and I told him God sent him to me….my husband and I are both retired on a fixed income….he came in 5k under the others and one was refacing not new cabinets ….I would highly reference him to anyone looking to do any remodeling…he not only does kitchens 😉. Thank you Angi"

"I truly wish that there were a rating above 5 stars that I could give. Choosing Counter Effects was the single best decision that we made on our entire house remodeling project. The quality of the work and cabinets is excellent, the service was extremely professional and timely, and the cost was extraordinarily reasonable given the quality, selection, and service. In fact, it was much cheaper than the Big Box stores. Furthermore, Mr. Elko gave us ample suggestions on cost savings and made additional great recommendations for our project that had never occurred to us. His suggestions were stellar, and really helped with the budget. Counter Effects exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful!"

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Mr Delgado has a natural instinct for restoring furniture to its optimal appearance. He is an artist. He repaired a pair of huanghwali northern hat chairs for me, and then I sent them to auction and they made $25k. He has restored a series of other pieces of furniture for me, and I don't believe it would have been possible to do better. He restored a Renaissance revival server for me, and I gave him its mate in gratitude. He picks up and delivers, all with an old-world charm that you no longer find in his business."

"Fast response for my request for work. Repairs were made quickly and professionally. I would definitely use this company again."

"RVA Pro Painters first painted the exterior of my home and it looks fantastic! They matched the color of the house perfectly and they paid such great attention to the details! When you see the front door the color really pops, it is so beautiful! All of this at a fair price. Orlando did the estimate at no cost and I did not have to be at home. I was so please with the results I hired them to come back and do the interior painting too! Great to work with and I recommend them."

"It was 2 brothers who showed up and they were so nice.  They were quick but did a great job! They even painted more than I expected - I would definitely hire them for more painting and other home improvement jobs!

"Dallas has been my cabinet installer for a couple of years now. He came highly recommended by my uncle, and I’ve referred him to my aunt. We appreciate him so much that he’s our exclusive go-to guy for any and all of our cabinet needs. He’s prompt, responsive, clean, professional, problem solving, honest, etc etc. The list goes on and on, which is why I trust him in my home."
