I bought an Ikea armoire and wanted it to match my bedroom furniture. I was told that it was difficult to make changes particularly painting Ikea furniture. I was pleasantly surprised when Metropolitan restoration Center offered me a reasonable price and more than delivered. Saying I'm pleased is not enough for the results. I have a very nice looking cabinet that matches quite nicely with the rest of my furniture. All of this done at a reasonable price!

Wilson Delgado's repair and restoration of our wooden kitchen table and chairs was outstanding. It had scratches and stains and it is now perfect! It looks better than when we originally bought it. He added a beautiful finish to the table so that it shines. And he is simply the nicest, most customer oriented, honest person. His quote was so reasonable and he did the whole job within 2 weeks! I highly recommend him and his company!

Wilson did an outstanding work with my 6” tall Wood Grandfather Clock. He restored the cracks on the surface and refinished the wood with true artistic precision. Worth every penny. I highly recommend his work.

Wilson and his crew are amazing! They fixed an armoire door (antique French, so no hinges) when no one else was able to do so, and restored its veneer and cleaned the glass on the doors which had 200 years of mineral deposits. Next, they reupholstered a barrel chair, doing a beautiful job; it looks better than when I first bought it. Wilson has over 40 years of restoration experience with the Catholic Church in Italy and Ecuador, and it shows. He is also very personable and diligent when informing his customers of their job status. I highly recommend d them.

I got this item for a bargain at a second hand store. It was made in England in the 1920's. Someone painted it pink! Metropolitan stripped and re-finished the cabinet. Looked brand new when it came back to me. Pricing was fair for the excellent work done.

Wilson did a great job of restoring the lounge chairs to match the original finish. His estimate was very fair, and he picked up and delivered the chairs exactly as he said. I have additional work that I will engage Wilson for. I recommend him highly; he is very personable and professional.

In the end, we were more than totally pleased with all the work done by Wilson Delgado. He made several trips (always punctual) out to the country to pickup and return furniture, and also to deliver fabric books and samples for our clear vinyl slipcovers. We had minor glitches as he was unexpectedly called out of the country for a family emergency, but in his absence, I was contacted to let me know the reason for the delay. Then, Covid-19 hit and he was in protective covering when he delivered our last piece of furniture. At all times, he was professional, courteous, and treated our furniture and home as if it was his own. So far as pricing and how long he quoted for all the work-----believe it or not, he was just about half of what the other upholstery shop quoted me, and also the work was completed faster than the other shop. He is truly a talented craftsman that takes pride in his work.

I have only compliments for Metropolitan Restoration Center. Mr. Delgado made the cushions look like new and was even able to reuse the old upholstery after firming up the interiors. Despite the fact that mine was certainly not a terribly interesting job for someone as trained as he is in his craft, he kept all appointments and was very pleasant to work with. I would definitely call on him again for any job, large or small, if a need arises. And I would certainly recommend him to others.

Found the piece in a curio type used furniture store in College Park, MD (Peg Leg). It was painted pink. Got it for a great price but it needed restoration. Wilson's quote was along the line of other furniture we had restored over the years. The piece came back looking like new. Apparently under the pink there was another coat of white and it took extra time to strip all the layers. You have to be patient with the process because his time estimate might be off if he hits a snag like he did with mine. In the end we have a beautifully restored antique piece of furniture that looks like it just came off the showroom floor. See before (pink) and after photos.

Very well. The owner, Wilson Delgado, came from Silver Spring to Falls Church to pick up my furniture in his large SUV then returned the repaired furniture a week later. What made his work special to me is that when he arrived, he lifted and squeezed each piece of furniture so you could see that where the furniture was loose. Unfortunately, the chairs were loose all over. To ensure the tightness of the chairs going forward, he took each one apart to reglue every joint. For the large leather armchair, he secured and reattached the original piece of leather by taking the whole back off and putting a new border around the backing to ensure that the leather would adhere. Mr. Delgado is an artisan who made a career of working on high value furniture in the Catholic Church. My five pieces of furniture look new again, after 35 years. He is following up with an email on general care products and guidance.

Wilson Delgado came to my place and inspected the chair to be repaired. He took the chair, successfully repaired it, and returned it to me in one week. Wilson gave me superb customer service! I would use him again and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Excellent, They did an outstanding job and we couldn’t be happier. If we were not moving to the west coast in the near future I would have readily hired him again to refinish other furniture. What once was 15 year furniture looks brand new.

Mr Delgado did an a excellent job reupholstering 4 dining room chairs. I would definitely hire him again.

He was awesome. He took my end table back to his shop and repaired it and brought it back to me. There were no additional charges. I would use him again in the future.

Mr. Delgado contacted me right away, came over and gave me a very fair estimate on repairing the 6 chairs. He took the chairs with him and a few weeks later he delivered the chairs. The chairs looked new. He did a beautiful job.

Terrific. The owner is a wonderful person and takes great pride in his work

Pick up was prompt however, the delay was 4-5 weeks after the discussed date but that was ok because I wasn't in a hurry for it. The end result is a spectacular piece of furniture that has exceeded my expectations. His assistant went and found two matching handles at an antique store. It was pricey but well worth the wait.
