"We were away for a week after Marty refinished my marble shower and when we returned we found that the tiles had dulled-absorbed the sealer- so I contacted Marty and he came and re sealed and polished the tiles again. The shower looks like new! Thanks so much. would highly recommend Clean Slate."

"Mark did a phenomenal job on a fence repair that was required at my property as I prep it for sale. From the time he first made communication to the time he finished the work, he was professional, transparent with pricing and delivered a high quality product that I'm sure the future owners of this property will enjoy. I would 100% recommend this individual to anyone looking for a fence install/repair and would absolutely use this company again."

"Mike and his team were amazing. They instantly put me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. Being a single mother that knows nothing about plumbing and repairs, I had no problem letting Mike take the lead on doing the best thing for my children and I! I put Mike's company in my phone as I am already making a list of what I need done next! No need to look further as he does it all for a reasonable price and I feel safe with them in my home and around my children!"

"I am very pleased with the finished bathroom. It is light, fresh, and great looking. Dave was courteous, friendly, professional, efficient , and patient with small changes. The area was kept clean and debris-free at all times. I felt comfortable with his having access to my house. Melisa was friendly and professional and did much to help me make good decisions and select the correct materials. I am pleased with everyone involved. The only downside was that it took along time to get a contract and begin the actual work"

"My 1970's house had carpet installed over hardwood floors. When I bought it, the previous owners had ripped up the carpet to reveal those floors in need of repair. Mr. Biernot filled the many nail holes and refinished the floors beautifully. I have gotten many compliments on the beautiful matte finish. Highly recommend."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Standing water can lead to surface discoloration if your granite countertops are improperly sealed. However, it’s possible to remove hard water stains with a baking soda paste. Take more care with acidic liquids, such as fruit juice or red wine, which can leave more permanent stains. That’s why it’s so important to reseal these surfaces regularly.

Engineered stone doesn’t need sealing because it is non-porous. The manufacturing process creates a natural stain resistant to moisture, which also makes it easy to clean.

Yes, you can repair a stone countertop yourself for minor issues like small chips or scratches, and DIY repair kits are available for this purpose. However, for larger problems such as major cracks or significant stains, DIY repairs may not be effective. In these cases, professional services are recommended to ensure a seamless finish, prevent further damage, and use the proper materials and techniques for a full restoration.

Since marble is a porous material, it is more prone to water spots than other countertop options. Fortunately, pure water doesn’t damage your marble, but if the water is acidic, it can cause stains or water spots. Resealing throughout the year can help increase marble’s water resistance, too.

Marble countertops can last from 20 to 100 years, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking for durability. The life span depends on several factors, including how well you take care of your marble countertops. Marble is a porous material, so it can require more upkeep than other countertop options.
