"They did perform the work, same day, very neatly, the gentleman who showed up was the owner of the service, and he was polite, professional, and accommodated the work the same day. I was in a hurry and needed to get some work done quickly; they come out and provide a quote, but indicated their minimum was $500 worth of work to take on the job when Home Advisor had indicated the work was valued at about $400. When we noted a home inspector had indicated the roof 'boots' needed to be replaced, they offered to check on the potential replacements, quote a price, then perform the work the same day. First, they offered a quote for $2,500, which seemed exorbitant for replacing two boots on the roof, then came down to $2,100, then I countered (and they accepted) for $2,000 which included the initial $500 for building the rain dam by the chimney. So honestly, I don't know if I overpaid or paid just about the right price for the boot replacements. Personally, when I review the project and the work, I think $1,000 would have a MORE reasonable price. I would recommend that dealing with ANY roofing repair company to get at least a second quote on the work before accepting the job, even if the company offers to do the work the same day."

"Without question, Dana Joseph is the most efficient, skilled, trustworthy and responsive contractor I have worked with. If you need handyman, maintenance or contracting work done on your home or, as is our case, on a rental property, hire him today. I bought my first home in 1993. My wife and I now live in Illinois but own three rental properties in Richmond. For the last several months, Mr. Joseph has responded with grace and aplomb to needs both large and small, urgent and longer term. He sends videos of his diagnosis of problems, sends a reasonable estimate, does the work, documents the finished product via video, sends an invoice, gets paid and... voilá! Problem solved. I'm happy and our tenants are happy. It doesn't get much better than that. Thank you, Mr. Joseph, for everything you do."
Handymen Project
Bottom portion of plaster wall was once repaired with sheet of drywall. With no meaningful connection between drywall, drywall mud, and true plaster, the weight of the old plaster above, with nothing to hold onto, or to hold it, collapsed.

"We had a great experience working with Tony Tan and his team. They promptly responded to our inquiry, came out the next day to provide a quote, and were able to come swap out our light fixtures within a week of us reaching out. We were happy with their work and pricing, and plan to work with them on future house projects."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

Adding an extension or addition to your home costs more than a loft conversion in all but the rarest cases where the home's structural integrity is lacking. Because a home addition requires a new foundation section or significant structural upgrades to handle a cantilevered portion, the cost compared to almost any loft conversion is significantly greater for the same square footage.

If you’re building a pole barn in place of a traditional home, lenders usually don’t offer traditional mortgages for these structures. You can also expect higher insulation costs and building permits may not be allowed in your area. Even if you’re just using a pole barn as storage or as a shelter for animals, these structures are less durable than steel buildings and require more maintenance.

The steep slope of an A-frame roof withstands high winds, heavy rain, and heavy snowfall, making them popular all over the world. A-frames also offer simple, quick construction. Finally, an A-frame typically has large windows on the non-roof sides to let in a maximum amount of natural light. Consequently, they are often an affordable building solution for the right homeowner and location.

It’s much less expensive to build a house with wood. This is because wood is relatively inexpensive, strong enough to endure decades or even centuries of weathering and pressure, and is easier to replace if there are issues. The cost of stone houses are incredibly expensive, heavy, time-consuming to build, and difficult to repair.
