"They did perform the work, same day, very neatly, the gentleman who showed up was the owner of the service, and he was polite, professional, and accommodated the work the same day. I was in a hurry and needed to get some work done quickly; they come out and provide a quote, but indicated their minimum was $500 worth of work to take on the job when Home Advisor had indicated the work was valued at about $400. When we noted a home inspector had indicated the roof 'boots' needed to be replaced, they offered to check on the potential replacements, quote a price, then perform the work the same day. First, they offered a quote for $2,500, which seemed exorbitant for replacing two boots on the roof, then came down to $2,100, then I countered (and they accepted) for $2,000 which included the initial $500 for building the rain dam by the chimney. So honestly, I don't know if I overpaid or paid just about the right price for the boot replacements. Personally, when I review the project and the work, I think $1,000 would have a MORE reasonable price. I would recommend that dealing with ANY roofing repair company to get at least a second quote on the work before accepting the job, even if the company offers to do the work the same day."

They set up the drywall order for me, which I called in to completed (their supplier saved me about $40 over Lowes for XP Purple board). "It turned out that nothing was wrong with the valve, and no internal parts needed replacing. However, he noticed that the toilet was rocking, meaning that the seal underneath the toilet was damaged, and I actually was about to get into trouble with leakage in the not so near future. So he removed the toilet, and replaced the seal, and also replaced the crummy discolored yellow handle with a metal one. I paid $77.00 for a plumbing inspection of all fixtures around the house. When he saw my kitchen, he said "I think I've been in your house before." It turned L that he had replaced and upgraded my kitchen sink faucet, under another Angie's list Big Deal with a previous employer. He did a beautiful job, (see photo). Outside, he found the ridiculous attachment of one of my outdoor spigots (see photo), which had exploded twice during deep freezes. I had previous suggestions to shorten it and weld the faucet back on, or, "You can't do anything about it." He proposed to definitively fix and weatherize it for $498, including materials and visit, and will do this at some point in the future. I paid $39.00 for the visit, $223 for the toilet repair, $77.00 for the plumbing inspection, -$50.00 with the Angie's list Big Deal. So the final total was $289, which I thought was reasonable."
