He moved it from the wall and tilted it in order to test out from the bottom of the machine whether or not it was a simple fix, but it was not to be. The engine was no longer functioning. After examining the machine for 45 minutes, he charged $75. He advised keeping the dryer unless I could get a deal on both washer and dryer. I have paid more than $ 400 for a repairs over a period of 3 months. If I had known it would have been that much, I would have purchased a new dishwasher. We have had to hand wash dishes for every major holiday. In the end, I am convinced that the original problem was a simple and inexpensive fix that the repair person missed. I tried speaking with the owner and they have been of no assistance. I will never buy another Maytag dishwasher that is required to be serviced by Broughton. This has been the worst service of any repair experience in my life."
