The quote process was very smooth - Blake returned my call promptly and scheduled a time to measure and hear my wishlist which included new cabinets, the removal of a wall, and the addition of an island. He made great suggestions after he listened to what I wanted. The appointment was quick, and when I received my itemized quote and layout drawings, I was happy to see that everything we discussed was included at a price I thought was fair and reasonable. I was told a timeframe of when the work would start when I accepted the quote, and it started on time. Tim, the contractor, and his assistant Karen were WONDERFUL and did great work. Tile installation costs about $2,000 on average. Costs vary widely depending on the installation site, the size of the area, the type of tile, the complexity of the design or pattern, and your home’s location. Just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should. You can apply new tile over existing tile in a bathroom, but the new tile may not look great if you lay it over worn, cracked, or uneven tiles. The adhesive may not be able to attach the new tile to the old tile properly, and this will add more weight to the drywall.

It takes more time and effort, but removing existing tiles before retiling a bathroom is worth it.
