"I found Paul and his team to be very pleasant and professional. They thoroughly cleaned my home, and did the best in making everything shine! My mother was with them most of the day, and mentioned how personable they were. I liked the fact that they used cleaning products that left little residue and the house smelled wonderful! Paul also cleaned the carpet throughout the house and did a great job. I will definitely hire them again for housecleaning and plan to use them to help get us organized for the big move!! You can't go wrong with Living Elegance Cleaning and Organization!"

"On the day of the appointment I called to confirm arrival time and was told workers would arrive by 12noon. Workers arrived 45 min late which annoyed me because I had to call the company to find out why the workers were not at my house. Company sent 3 workers instead of two to make up for lost time. Overall they did an average job (vacuum, clean floors, bathrooms, dust, etc.)/
At the end of the appointment I did a walk-thru and found spider webs that had not been removed from ceiling corners and closets. When I pointed these out to the workers they removed the spider webs.

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

The cost for professional floor cleaning is $250 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $1,500, depending on the type of flooring and its square footage.

For example, natural stone flooring requires specialized techniques and care, so you'll spend closer to the higher end of the cost range. The cost of cleaning tile and grout is more cost-effective, where you'll pay an average of $0.50 to $3.50 per square foot.

Wood floors should be polished every two to four months to maintain a shine and to keep them protected from daily wear and tear. More frequent maintenance includes dry mopping the floors daily and cleaning spills immediately, using a spray mop and cleaner weekly to remove any built up dirt or grime, and sanding and refinishing the floors every three to five years.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.
