"They had to come out twice to do cleaning as after the first attempt there were still many stains on furniture. There were still stains after second cleaning so maybe they were permanent. In the future, communicating that residual stains are probably permanent would change our perspective from the service being deficient to the stains being indelible."

"Very well in all respects. Easy to contact and set up appointments for two recent visits. Crew arrived promptly both times. First job was for cleaning carpets (3 rooms, plus stairs). Second was to clean upholstery (sofa and 2 chairs). Crew worked carefully and efficiently, explaining and/or answering questions when asked. What an immediate difference in appearance! Excellent results, even though drying time generally somewhat longer than estimated. I have used Superior four times now for carpet and upholstery cleaning and will call them again when needed. "We are fixing up an older home with original 1962 hardwood floors that were not in good condition. Pachecos added unfinished wood floor to the kitchen then refinished all flooring to match. Wayne Settle came out as scheduled, looked at the space, measured it, had us choose the flooring, and then gave us a price. He brought the materials out to sit for a week before installation inside the house to avoid expansion or shrinking because of the temperature or humidly change after delivery. He scheduled the installation on the first mutually agreeable day after the week, a Thursday.

In deference to our preference for not getting up extremely early (we are retired) he set the arrival time for 9 a.m., and he and two other workmen (one a workman, one a workwoman) arrived about 10 minutes early. They set to work immediately and efficiently, moving the last heavy pieces of furniture to one side of the room and then the other as they worked, as agreed. They had the bedroom finished and ready to sleep in by the time they left that afternoon, and returned at 9 the next morning to do the hall. The job is beautiful, with every corner perfectly finished, and Wayne without a reminder deducted the cost of flooring the closets, a change we had not requested until after the flooring was ordered.

All three were very friendly and pleasant, as quiet as people using power tools can be, and willing to put up with a large and noisy dog. We felt the cost was very reasonable for more than 10 hours of work by three people, and they could not have been more responsive. Wayne cheerfully concluded the job by fixing a badly-hung door that hadn't worked well in more than 20 years. We were more than happy that we had found such good people through Angie's List!

"Bill Martins Flood Crew is excellent. In December, just before Christmas, my finished rec room flooded when my sump pump failed--soaked carpet, cardboard boxes, books, furniture with sewer water. I thought I would not find anybody this time of year to help me. But I called Bill Martins from Flood Crew, and he came out right away. He looked at the basement and gave me an analysis of my damage on the spot. He was wonderful. He took care of getting detailed estimates to my insurance company and then made arrangements for me with all the needed specialists. First, I wouldn't have known where to start, and second I wouldn't have had a clue whom to call. I needed crews to remove the carpet, cut out drywall all around to dry it out, check for mold, test for asbestos, and then remove everything. And, of course, fixing the sump pump, installing flooring, putting everything back, and lots of details in between. All of this obviously can't be completed in a week or even a month. My work was not the only project that busy contractors had. My situation was far more complicated than I thought it would be. Ultimately, it took four months, which I thought was very reasonable. And the result is so beautiful--no corners cut, no putting up with mediocre results, all this for the same price and time or less than others quote. Be patient. Be flexible. Talk with Bill about the results you want. Listen to suggestions. Your results will be beyond anything you thought was possible."

"Most contractors don't want to be bothered "fixing" Harry Homeowners mistakes, OR finishing what HH started not knowing the quality of work he/she may have done up to that point. Because of my hectic work schedule, Jose Sosa took time away from his family and came out to look the job over on a Sunday for us. He was more than willing to finish the project I'd started, (maybe because he felt like my work up that point was quality? I'd like to think that anyway). He provided us with an estimate within a day of coming out and after a little back and forth, we agreed upon what I think was a very fair price, especially since I needed the job done "yesterday". He and one of his crew were out by the following Thursday and had it completed within 3 days. They installed the homeowners supplied materials. In other words, we'd already purchased all the materials as I was planning on completing the project originally. As time was of the essence in the end, we simply hired Jose to come in and install the waterproof Schluter membrane on the floor and shower walls, tile the floor and shower, (this included two nooks I built into the shower walls. This was a "labor" job only."
