Because of how our vents are set up, our technician Val told us that they would be very hard to clean (we living in a 1959 rambler) and we might require multiple cleanings. As they were working, the weren't aware of the amount of dust that was being scattered throughout the house, again, due to the setup of our venting system. After he left, I needed to go throughout the house and clean the thing layer of dust that had settled on all surfaces. Val felt awful and apologized multiple times and you could tell that he was being sincere. He did recommend that we use an anti-bacteria and fumigation treatment because of mold he found in the vents (which he showed us pictures of) and had recommended purchasing a UV lamp to stop the growth of mold in the future. We opted to forgo the UV lamp, but purchase the additional cleaning options, which should have cost $275. It was clear that Val felt bad about the dust in the house because after we agreed to the additional cleaning, he dropped the price to $175 and also cleaned our dryer vent for free."
