Adam made some research and promptly contacted us with a solution that was perfect for enhanced functionality. Last but not least, Ismar, our foreman on the job was professional, responsive, pleasant, and amazingly skilled. He and his team worked diligently on the electrical portion, cabinet installation, backsplash, appliance installation, and painting. "We are extremely happy with the work done by Thomas Custom Builders (TCB). Overall they did an amazing and outstanding job! They had a contractor on site, on time every day. Brian S. was professional, helpful, patient, hard working and skilled both in managing subcontractors and doing work himself. I trusted him with our home and would work with Brian/TCB again easily. I have already recommended their company to others. TCB renovated a few parts of our house, added electricity to a shed and added an entire master bedroom suite on an additional floor (adding approximately 550 sqft to our house). They finished earlier than expected. Our neighbors couldn't believe how fast the addition was completed and how well done. Any additional costs from the original budget estimate were due to our choice to add more work. I waited to write a review. I wanted to live in the addition for a little while to see how everything holds up. We have had only minor things arise and have been very pleased with the responsiveness of Brian and TCB to come back out and check on things. They came back to add a bracket to a new countertop that moved slightly, they shaved a door that was sticking as the weather changed, they fixed the damage done when carpets were installed by another company, they arranged for a rep from the hot water heater company to come out and fix a noise issue, all done at no additional cost to us. I have worked with contractors before but nothing on this level. It wasn't perfect, there were concerns that came up. I had to learn that this was major construction and with major construction comes mess. Brian and his team addressed our concerns and remedied any issue fairly. With so many negative stories I've heard from people who worked with other companies, I am so very thankful that we had such a good experience and ended up with such an amazing master suite and changes to our home. We love it and we receive many compliments. We chose to work with TCB because they came highly recommended by a neighbor who had similar work done and were very satisfied with their outcome."

"We moved into our new home in early March and quickly reached out to RCI for a renovation proposal. Within just two days, they provided a detailed estimate based on our ideas, and in less than two weeks, those ideas became reality. RCI removed the wall between the kitchen and living room, creating a bright, open-concept main floor. They also took down the wall separating the two bedrooms, transforming the space into a spacious master suite complete with a walk-in closet and the framework for a future master bathroom. Once the structural work was complete, they refinished all the hardwood floors throughout the upstairs and on the staircase, completely transforming the feel of the upper level. Chris and his team at Exterior Waterproofing Experts responded quickly to my problem and stemmed the flow of water into my house. They installed an exterior French drain to divert water from my foundation and sealed the basement wall to ensure no further damage. Just like his work in completing my basement, Chris and his team were on time and within budget. I can rest knowing my home is safe. "I am selling my home and the buyer's inspector found cracks in the foundation that we were unaware of. With closing approaching I needed help quickly. "Summary: The Comfy team did a great job b/c they know what they are doing however, they are not without faults. Work Completed: Full crawlspace escalation and turning a vented attic into an unvented attic by adding CC spray from on the roof deck. Time frame: July 13-17 2020 Results: We are only a month out from the work being completed, so the analysis is on-going but here are the numbers so far. My Aug electricity bill was down 26% in real dollars from July. That reduction is in spite of the fact that Aug had a 31% higher average Cooling Degree Days (base Temp 70F - https://www.degreedays.net/-). In addition, the first week of my Aug billing cycle included this work. Again, this is very early on but that is a promising start. Other benefits include less variability in house temperature. Before I would see a temperature difference of 5 degrees Fahrenheit between my bottom and top floors. Now they are no more than 1.5 degrees apart (the thermostat is on the lowest level). This creates an overall more pleasant living environment. So while Iâ m looking at a return on investment that stretches out past 10 years, during that time itâ ll be a more comfortable home to live in. Challenges: My only complaint is that there doesnâ t seem to be a solid quality control program. To be fair, I have high standards of work quality. Especially when Iâ m paying for it. Comfy clearly understands the science and best practices. Itâ s always a challenge translating that over to the real world, which is messy. With that said I felt like I was the one that had to be pointing out the areas of poor workmanship. It sure would have been nice to feel like that quality control was being done for me. Now for the good news, Comfy is correcting all the issues I have pointed out (scheduled but not all completed). Bottom Line: Comfy has a talented team of people, who know the work. They will do a good job at a fair price. But donâ t let the sleek marketing and science lull you into a false sense of security, make sure you get what you paid for."
