"SafeStreets’ alarm system is fantastic. The motion sensors, door/window contacts, and cameras work flawlessly. The home automation features are a huge plus—I can control everything from my phone. Highly recommend SafeStreets to anyone looking for reliable security."
"Last weekend had someone pry our side door open to our exterior garage and the ADT door sensor picked it up immediately. The alarm siren was loud and scared the person off. Someone from the response center called within 30 seconds. We’re fortunate that the security system did what it is supposed to. Feels like we made the right call going with an ADT security system."
"Initial contract was to pain one bedroom, interior stair risers, front door and exterior trim. The price quote came in about $30 less than another company. I accepted the offer and paid in advance. The work was done 2 weeks later. Upon inspection, we found that there was one riser left unpainted and the exterior trim around the garage door light was also left unpainted. It took 4 weeks and several emails and phone calls to get the contractor to respond and finish the work. Because we asked them to re-enter the house to finish the stairs, we also asked for an estimate to repaint the ceiling in the kitchen, caused by a water stain. We told them to begin work if the cost did not exceed $250. They began work, however, instead of repainting, they repaired it (removed the drywall around the stain, replaced, and plastered.) They did not repaint as directed. I asked them to stop all work on the house. After several email and phone discussions, they admitted to their mistake and did not charge me for the work that was already done ($235 value). We agreed that no more work would be done and we would end our contract as is. I am still waiting on the contractor to return the house keys. Overall, the work done by the contractor, Tony, was satisfactory, although incomplete. The problem with this company is their management, which is unresponsive and lacks attention to detail. Manager was not responsive to our emails and did not pay attention to details of our painting request. I would not recommend this company based on their management of work contracts. The quality of the work and the cost was good and competitive. "

"The technician showed up on time and proceeded to explain the process for installing the garage door opener. The initial installation of the garage door went well. However, upon the completion of the installation the technician proceeded to demonstrate the operation of the door when a malfunction of the garage opener occurred resulting in damage to my new garage door. The technician immediately notified his supervisor who quickly acknowledged responsibility for this mishap. I was informed as to the reliability of this particular garage door opener and this unfortunate incident had never occurred in the past. The company was extremely responsive in addressing this mishap and moved quickly to not only replace the motor of the garage door opener but also replaced the damaged garage door panels and rail. In less than 24hrs I had a new garage door opener and replacement panels installed! Kudos to Amber and her team for stepping up and get this resolved so quickly!! I definitely recommend Stoneberger Garage Unlimited for all your garage door needs. "
"Delivery was delayed due to credit inquiry. After the concern was raised, shipment was rushed to us. Self installation didn't go as easy. Issue was resolved over the phone. The glass break sensor was a bit sensitive to loud noise such as cabinet door closing and door sensor repeatedly falls off and had to be reattached. Notification of alarm activation was fast and made to the right contact numbers. This prevented false alarm calls to the police."
"I have investigated many companies and chose 1st Security because of such good reviews. Well I must add my excellent review for this company. Larry installed everything for us and he was very knowledgeable and made sure everything worked perfectly before he left. If I have questions he answers them right away. I would absolutely recommend this company to do your work. "
"My garage door would not properly open and close, so I checked the list for a reliable service company with a tune up deal. Chris came out Thursday and checked the door, identifying that it was cracked, causing it to sag in the middle, and the track was warped. Unfortunately, the bottom two panels were cracked, so a tune up or repair were not possible. Chris called Andrew who was able to get me a quote on the spot for next day installation. Tony and Henry came out Friday afternoon and completed the install, ensuring the everything worked properly. They worked quickly and efficiently and let the work site clean of debris and hauled away the old parts. The price on the door and install was somewhat higher than others I found on-line but the quick turn-around and friendly service even that out. "

You don’t need to completely revamp your security system constantly, but it’s a great idea to give it a once-over every year. Look for potential upgrades or new features—like smart home tech or replacing outdated equipment—that could boost your safety. If you make any significant changes, let your insurer know as they may adjust your discounts to reflect your improved security. Staying on top of your security not only keeps your home safe but ensures you’re getting the best possible rate on your insurance.
The benefit of deadbolt locks is that they're much harder to force open than simple locks with pin tumbler mechanisms, so they may offer added security. This feature is why many locksmiths recommend deadbolts for home security. For many households, this added protection and peace of mind is well worth the cost of installing a deadbolt.
Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.
