"The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. The end product was excellent. The office was professional (mostly). The price seemed fair, but I would venture a guess that I could find cheaper, but I wanted a quality installation. I can confirm I found competition that was much more expensive. The only issue I had was scheduling both the quote and the work. In this case we needed both an electrician and plumbers complicating the situation. We scheduled both disciplines to quote on the same day. The electrician missed the window and had to come the next day. For the work to be performed, we again scheduled for a single day process but due to illness apparently had to reschedule for the following day. At that point, I complained to the office due to the inconvenience of taking 4 days out of the office for a 2 day job, looking for a little price reduction. The office manager I spoke to was more interested in defending their position than seeing my side. In the end he granted me a $50 online coupon, reduction yes, but I'm not sure why I wouldn't have been entitled to that regardless. Honestly, in the end I was happy and would hire again due to the quality of work, reasonable price and professionalism in general. They would have received high marks across the board if it wasn't for the scheduling issues. I hope that was just bad coincidence."

I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. "We had a 20+ degree temperature difference between the finished basement and the upper level in our recently purchased home.  We had been using modern mechanical for a few years for annual hvac inspections in our previous home but that system never really required much service.  They have always been professional, punctual, and have a problem solving attitude.  We had them come out to provide recommendations and pricing for installing a new zone.  They provided the following three options: manual dampers, electronic zoning board with digital dampers, or install a completely separate system for the upper level.  The second choice is relatively new technology and they highly recommended it because it cost 50% - 75% less than installing a completely separate system and would have the same effect.  They followed up with a written proposal in 24 hours and had the system installed only a week after signing the proposal.  When the crew came to install it they were professional and polite.  The system has now been up and running for several weeks and works perfectly.  We highly recommend this company and the system/technology that they used.

When Bruce arrived to do the assessment, we spent time going over the heating needs in the house. After a thorough inspection and measurement of the house, we sat down. He showed me a few options, all of which were going to provide good service. I ordered a unit at the end of that meeting. The installation day was just terrific- the entire work crew that showed up were everything I would hope to find: Upbeat, informative, hard-working, focused. The job was finished before end of day as promised. The heater room is now immaculate, with new piping and a new heater. It was like watching a pit crew at a NASCAR race. Everyone had their tasks, they moved carefully but quickly. The materials were all laid out in order, etc. Just a totally professional approach to their work. The crew boss answered any questions I had. The follow-up for a normal inspection of the furnace chimney was scheduled the day after the installation. "I closed the deal with Julian on late Tuesday night and the team was able to do the installation the next morning! Jesse gave me the details on the team as the ink was drying. They arrived on time first thing in the morning. Dan, Cal and Greg were a great team that stayed active all day. Seriously over 12 hours! They installed a new Hot water heater and an 18 Seer Lennox Heat Pump with Honeywell Humidifier and Honeywell Home Thermostats. My 17 year old system was tightly packed into the basement. I think the basement was built around it. They replaced everything...ducts, hoses, fuses boxes, wires and pipes. Everything was insulated and finally brought to code with new sensors and alarms. After working all day, they ended the evening cleaning up and taking me through the system in great detail. It has only been a couple hours but everything is running great.
