"The installation crew was here at 8:00am as promised, and installed the new unit. Everything is working fine. The crew was quick and quiet, both desired behavior. The technician who was the first on the scene, Kyle Meyers, is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable HVAC technician I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He was so thorough in his inspection. He found a small glitch in the other HVAC unit, and fixed it, and he found exactly what caused the failure in the dead unit. He took pictures to show me, as I am unable to go outside. I can't say enough nice things about Kyle."

"As good as it gets. After assessing the project and giving and estimate, the project was completed entirely in one day, despite a couple unforeseen conditions. The installer was professional, thorough, and very fair. I could not be happier with the quality and value I received."

"This company is run very professionally. Everything ran like clockwork and I was not the least bit stressed out. I called Doug from work in the afternoon and he came over a couple hours later that evening. He ordered me a unit and it was completely installed a few days later. The installers were trustworthy, professional and could not have been nicer. The service was impeccable; very prompt, fairly priced and thorough. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. I will be using them for all of my heating and air service from now on. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any friend of mine. I highly recommend them!"

"Michael and Chris did a comprehensive inspection and estimate. It was complicated because they had to increase the airflow and they had to figure out a way to add supply vent. The possible solutions were thoroughly explained beforehand. It took longer than they expected for the install because they tried to minimize the aesthetic impact when installing a new vent. They also had to find a way to get the inside unit into the crawlspace without digging up the well wall. They did a great job and did not charge more than the contract estimate even though it took more time, manpower and equipment than the calculated for the estimate. The crew members were all courteous, knowledgeable and efficient - exceedingly professional. They cleaned up completely when they were done including removal of the old system. Would definitely use Automatic Climate again."

"The service provider that showed up was very prompt and professional.  He provided a detailed report on the condition of both my heating and AC units.  He provided recommendations and fixed my issue.  I was impressed and so was my tenant as she was the one at the house taking the service call.

"Atlantic Heating came out at the scheduled time, and the installers were courteous, professional and kept my house clean.   They had no problem
installing a new coolant line, even tho another company said it could not be done!   Andrew came out to make sure the job got
started on time and correctly, and checked in several times.   He was available to answer questions, and responded promptly when we needed to move the thermostat after the installation.
They were very creative in relocating the new unit on my hill and built a very nice pad.
Andrew Cox made this purchase as easy and painless as possible and helped me get a Dominion VA Power rebate as well as
special financing.   When I have to replace my 2nd unit, I will definitely work with him.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

In most cases, repairing a radiator is more affordable than replacing it. A typical repair may cost between $100 and $200, while a replacement can average $1,500, with a range of $250 to $2,500 depending on the unit type. Radiator issues are often simple fixes for a professional, such as a blown fuse, malfunctioning thermostat, or a loose valve, and can take less than an hour. However, if the long-term costs of fixing the radiator are higher than replacement, it's better to get a new model. It is recommended to consult a heating expert to diagnose the problem and determine the best solution for your situation.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

Deciding whether or not to replace radiators with a different heating system depends on your personal preferences. Radiators can take longer to heat up than a central heating system, and they take up floor space. However, they can be very efficient at heating, and they keep rooms at a more comfortable humidity level in the winter than forced-air systems.

Since your boiler keeps you warm and provides hot water to your home, you’re likely to notice issues with heating in your living space right away. The most obvious sign that your boiler is breaking is not getting any heat or hot water. You might also hear some odd sounds coming from your boiler during operation, the flame in your gas boiler is not blue, the pressure is inconsistent, or your boiler is using more energy than it should. If you notice any of these signs, be sure to call a pro right away.

If you have a closed-system boiler that requires an expansion tank, you cannot safely operate it without one, as this risks extensive damage or even explosions. You must find a way to make room for the installation. Options include repositioning the boiler, rerouting the boiler piping to a more open area, or performing minor remodeling to create the necessary space. If you are unsure whether your boiler needs an expansion tank or how to best accommodate one, it's recommended to have a local heating service professional assess the situation. They can confirm the requirement and suggest the most practical solution.
