"I had the pleasure of using this service last August. Last year my AC went out and another company wanted to charge me over $800. to repair it. Being outraged and "hot" I called Advantage. Two very handsome men not only quickly repaired it, but the bill was a little over $100. They were amazing, polite, professional and now that a friend is asking for an AC company to repair her broken AC, I am referring my friend to Advantage. ** Fast forward two years.. my heat goes out during the coldest weekend in years. Xmas weekend, I was without heat. I stayed in my bedroom running two portable heaters. I could not wait for Tuesday. I called Advantage Heating and Cooling. I was told the soonest appointment would be on Thursday, but the young lady promised if any cancellations, she would call. THANK THE G-Ds there was a cancellation. Alex Meyers arrived and did a complete inspection. I held my breath for the worst news. Alex was AMAZING, he fixed it for under $200. AND gave me a VERY honest explanation and advice. I LOVE THIS COMPANY. I would NEVER use anyone else, EVER!!!"

"Beware of long term service requirement to get any help. Nearly $12K on a whole home generator, but they will not come out to help unless you are part of their long term service contract plan. Their system is set up like "Pay to Play". Continue paying the monthly/yealy price to be a part of the exclusive service club or they will make you wait a week for help. Safety of system is irrelevant, you either join their service club or you are out of luck. Spend your money elsewhere unless you are willing to continue feeding the PIG to get service."

"My HVAC went out on New Years Day and I called several repair companies and Chirchhill was the only one to get back to me on the same day. Steve called and texted me to see what was wrong and how they could help. While on the phone I described to Steve what happened and the noises I heard prior to it going out. Steve was able to pretty much diagnose went might need to be replaced and had the part in stock! Joe came out the to my house and within 20 minutes I had heat! A few days later I called Steve back and reported to him that my heat was not working correctly (Turning on and off). Steve sent Joe back out who immediately discovered condensation inside a hose. Joe emptied out the water and left free of charge. Every works great!"

During one of these visits, your contractor will look at all of the components of your HVAC system, including your furnace or heat pump, air conditioner, and ducts. Some methods that use brushes and cleaning agents tend to clean more thoroughly, meaning you can have the ductwork cleaned every six to eight years. If you spot warning signs like mold in the HVAC system or your home consistently dusting despite cleaning, you may need to service your air ducts sooner than expected.

Some experts say you should clean your air ducts every three to five years, but regular air duct cleaning is something you may never need to do. The EPA has shown no noticeable health benefits to cleaning your ducts regularly, so as long as you don’t encounter any major problems and maintain your HVAC system, you won’t need to clean your air ducts.

Most experts recommend leaving the house during a duct cleaning, especially if you have small kids or pets. The process is noisy and disruptive, and the house will be filled with specialized equipment. The technicians may also require seamless access to different areas of the home. Talk to your pros and ask them if you should take a short walk around the neighborhood while they work.

If you have a fresh air intake as part of your HVAC system, the interior vents should be near your furnace or other gas appliances inside your home. From the outside of your property, your HVAC fresh air intake location is usually near the ground (although it may also be higher up, like on the roof or attic).
