Donny made time to check out a/c unit the same day I called to request repairs.  I thought the unit was going to need to be replaced, but he had it up and running with a new part and some coolant.  We were relieved to not have to replace the unit.  
Last year Donny replaced our upper a/c unit.  The price was the best I found after having estimates from three other companies.  He is a pleasure to work with, arrives as promised, and does a great job.  Not giving up until everything works as it should.

The A/C went out on the upstairs unit of the house.  I called Environment Control to come out for an estimate.  Since both my wife and I work long hours during the week, I asked if he had any weekend slots open.  To my surprise, I learned that they provide service on both Saturday and Sunday at no additional charge.  So I scheduled a Sunday morning appointment between 9:30 and 10:00.
Donny arrived promptly on time.  He then took the time to answer all of my questions.  Since the units on the house are the original units from when the house was built, in approximately 1997, we were considering replacing them with new units.  However, upon checking the problem, Donny discovered that the problem was a bad capacitor.  He replaced the capacitor and the unit worked fine again.  He let us know that both units, although over 16 years old, were still in good condition otherwise.
The entire problem was solved with a visit that took less than half an hour, cost $250, and allowed us additional time to save up for new units at some point in the future when it would be required.  Donny was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, flexible, and forthright, with great attention to customer service.  We will definitely call him again in the future with any additional A/C or heater needs.

Dannie is the perfect professional!  Quick service, excellent communication, honest, work area neat and tidy.  Comes to work, does not goof around.  Gives information of what went wrong and what needs to be done.  Gives all options.

Very late on a Saturday night my AC stopped working. After looking on Angie's List for an HVAC company that would provide emergency service or at least come out on a Sunday, I found Environment Control LLC. I talked to Donny just before quitting time and explained the details of the failure. It was hot and very humid and it would have been a miserable night, but Donny was sympathetic to the situation and came out immediately. He very quickly diagnosed the problem and changed the defective part and had the AC running in no time.
In past experiences with weekend and/or evening failures I did not expect to find someone who would come out immediately, as late as it was on a Saturday; nor did I expect to be greeted with such helpfulness and a good attitude.
Donny did not take advantage of the emergency nature of the situation to overcharge. He was knowledgeable, professional and helpful.
I definitely will continue using his services and recommend him highly.

They were on time.  Did a great job.  We had other work going on in the house and when they unexpectantly turned off the water, he worked with the situtation and still got everything we needed done.

I called Environment Control on a Sat at 3:00 pm, trying to find someone to come out and fix my A/C unit. To my surprise Donny said Yes, he could stop by on his way to another stop, he arrived around 5:15pm. He first monitored the outside unit, put his gauges on, etc...then came inside to look at the inside. He said the coils were very badly in need of cleaning and he had already used his vacuum cleaner to clean what he could without removing the coils from the unit.  The coils were so dirty and said he would have to come back the following day to take the coils out and clean them with an acid they use and it was a 2+hour job and it was already pushing 6:30 on Sat.  He said he would be back between 12 and 1 the next day, and he was.  He took the coils out and spent 2+ hours cleaning them, cleaned the outdoor coils and unfortunately the unit was still not working. Donny said we would need to get a new A/C unit.  From the amount of filth on the coils and I don't think they've ever been cleaning by another company, it was too much wear on the unit.  He also came back out on Monday evening to check on the unit, and nothing had changed, a new unit is needed and quoted me a price for a new company.  However, Donny did not charge me for all the work/labor he did to get to that diagnoses.  I also might add, our A/C unit is as old as our house, which is 12-15 years, so it wasn't a new unit. Donny did all he could and we just need a new one.
I would not hesitate to recommend Environment Control to anyone in need of Heating/AC or duct work.  Donny was very professional, returned my call(s) when he said he would, returned to our house when promised.  I'm in love with this guy, he's great and I'm already planning on calling his company back for duct work that I've been having some issues with, with no hesitation I will call him to return for another job.

Donny was professional and courteous. He explained everything before any repairs were started and gave me an estimated cost. Once I authorized the repairs he was quick to complete the task. He also rechecked the AC. To make sure it was in proper working order. I was interested in an estimate to replace my current system and asked for an estimate. Donny was on a tight schedule but took some notes and later sent me an estimate via email. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

I contacted Environment Control (Donnie) on 5/28/2013 around
7pm to take a look at my AC system because it was running but no air was coming
out the vents. Donnie came out that evening roughly 20 minutes later to
troubleshoot the issue. He realized that my coils were frozen and advised me
that I should let it thaw out before he further trouble shoots and he didn?t charge
me for the first visit. We made an appointment for the very next day and he
arrived promptly to further troubleshoot. He realized that there was a slow
leak in the system so he capped it and added the freon back into the system
that I had lost...and he didn?t charge me an arm and a leg to do so. He was
extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable and I would definitely recommend his
services to others. He also recommended that I look into purchasing a new
system in the near future because the one I had was builder?s grade and is
known for leaking.

Donnie was here on time & worked hard all day long to set everything replaced in one day.

Donny was extremely responsive from start to finish.  Our A/C unit
finally kicked the bucket and upon calling Environment Control, they
came out same day and had the new unit installed two days later.  They
completed the job within 4 hours and we couldn't be happier.  We will
definitely be using Environmental Control moving forward for all things
heating & air!

I couldn't be more impressed by Donny.  We discovered our hot water heater was leaking on Saturday & despite the fact that he was moving that weekend he was at our house the next day to install a new unit for a reasonable price.  I found him knowledgeable, fair, prompt, and professional.  I will absolutely use him in the future.  It's so wonderful to find someone I feel I can really trust.

I had issues with mold in my very old heating system and the flex tubing was damaged.   I found Environmental Controls on Angie's List.  Donnie is the owner and he came out on a Saturday to give me an estimate, accomodating my schedule as I live in Washington, DC and this is a rental property.   He was honest and also gave me some ideas on how to improve the climate in my crawl space.  We scheduled the job and just as he had promised, the cost was the same as the estimate and his work was professional and finished in a timely manner.

Donnie Merrix and his assistant James were awesome! They completed the job in a timely prfessional manner. They explained how the system operated. I was very pleased with their services.

We had to get a thermostat to be replaced.  He was very nice and professional.  I would use him again and would recommend.

Great service. Price was higher than a quote that I'd gotten a year before. They were on time, courteous, and focused on the work. Sheet metal work wasn't as good as I would've thought from someone in the industry, but it is very well sealed compared to the old system. The A/C had the house back to temp within 2 hours.

I signed up for their services back in Mar 2012 when I had them check out the A/C unit. A/C unit quit working yesterday afternoon and Donnie was here bright and early today to replace the bad part and get us up and running again. Since we're proceeding with a new A/C unit....this visit cost nothing. Compared to my previous 30 years with HVAC services, this is the most satisfying experience with any company to date.I'll write another review once the new unit has been installed.

On July 7th 2012 in the midst of a heat wave here in NV my A/C unit started making a grinding noise at 10:30 PM. I called and spoke with Donnie, he was willing to come to my home immediately. His rate of $75.00 is the same even in the middle of the night. I knew this could wait until morning. We talked at 6:30 AM and he was here by 7:15 AM. Donnie really came to my rescue.

Donnie came out the same day we called him after being stood up by another person. He was nice as Offered suggestions on how to cut over A/C costs.

Environment Control responded quickly to my request for an estimate. The representative was professional and friendly. The price quoted was fair. He was flexible when scheduling to install. The installation was completed in a timely fashion with relatively little inconvenience to us. Overall we are very satisfied with the service provided by Environment Control.

Mr. Merrix is polite and knowledgable.  He never tries to sell us anything and always gives us tips in how to make our unit run better.  We love Mr. Merrix and plan to call him from now on.
