We wanted the project completed before this professional would be returning, so we went with a different contractor, not found through HomeAdvisor, but someone we were referred to. I still appreciated Mr. Speters getting back to me and being willing to at least look at the project when he returned to Utah."

"Ryan did a great job. He bid everything and stuck to what he told me the price would be. It was very refreshing to get a follow up call to make sure I was happy with everything. He did not require I pay part up front. I really like that option as often times when that happens you become stuck with who you are working with even if they are horrible. He pointed out some things that I did not notice and took care of them in the price. He also told me that he could warranty the furnace that was installed by another company.  The past company that installed my furnace (two weeks prior) did not have it even to code. He brought it up to code for me. I also called around looking at hot water heaters and found if I bought one from Lowes or Home Depot it would be less and just have someone install it at the home. After talking with him I wish I would have found him first. He could have bought it and installed the hot water heater for just what I paid. He did a great job. I will use him in the future for any other projects I have."

"I recently began renting my home through a management company. When the AC stopped working I had my management company contact an AC company, and they chose Expert. Expert quoted $4000 to replace the AC. I then found another AC company myself (Humphrey) for a second opinion. Humphrey was able to fix the AC simply by changing the capacitor and fuse. Expert either 1) didn't bother to even look at it because the work order was coming from a management company and figured they paid whatever, or 2) did a really poor job diagnosing the problem. Either way, neither is favorable. My lesson learned as a new landlord--always find a repair company yourself."

I chose not to have him do the work since his solution for addressing the badly deteriorated brick on one chimney was to coat it with epoxy. After talking with other contractors this did not seem to be the best solution."
