"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

"My move across country with Sandra and KJ of All My Sons Moving Salt Lake City was over and above a great experience! They both work well together and independently in very professional manner! The items I moved were handled with care and when placed on the truck, they were secured and didnâ t move as I witnessed the unloading of them. All items shipped were accounted for and in excellent condition. Sandra is a long-hauler that deserves more than that fancy pink moving truck :). She is AWESOME! KJ, her partner is excellent at his job, respectful and professional! I would highly recommend and request Sandra and KJ for future moves, for which I am planning in the near future! A++++++"

Small jobs welcome

"This was a small project. I needed to move the contents of a 10x10 storage unit to a shed, at a home I recently purchased. I intended to rent a truck and dolly and get a friend to help, but a leg injury cancelled that plan. I wasn't looking forward to paying additional storage fees, so I hired Momentum Moving. The movers were on time and hustled to get the job done. The move was completed for less than the estimate. Very good experience."

"My aging parents had an old wobbly mailbox that needed to be replaced. Salt Lake Pyramids showed up on time, carefully dug out the old mailbox put together the new, fancy mailbox, mixed and poured the concrete, installed the post (perfectly straight and level) and had the whole thing done in a couple hours. They cleaned everything up - spotlessly. Absolute professionals! I will be using Salt Lake Pyramids again for all my handy-person work, even on larger projects!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

The best way to transport a TV is to wrap and pack it tightly in a TV moving box with plenty of padding to protect it from damage. If a box is not available, you can use moving straps and moving blankets to secure the TV in an upright position within the moving vehicle. To prevent it from shifting during transportation, place large pieces of furniture around it for stability.

Up to a point, you can change your mind about moving into a new apartment. But once you’ve signed a lease, you are under certain obligations that can make changing your mind very expensive, at the very least. That’s one reason it’s important to do a walkthrough and to read all documents carefully before signing.

The best ways to prepare for movers include decluttering and properly labeling boxes. Decluttering lessens the workload and ensures you are not bringing unwanted items into your new home. Labeling boxes lets movers know which rooms they belong in, reducing confusion when it's time to unpack.

Yes, you need insurance for a moving pod. Moving insurance is worth the cost because it can help pay to replace any damaged or destroyed items during the move. Without insurance, you’d be on the hook to pay for those replacements entirely out of pocket.

Start by removing any obstacles in the moving path, such as side tables, lamps, or other furniture. If your couch has legs, unscrew them. Measure the couch and the stairway to ensure you have enough room; if it seems unlikely, examine the shape and size of the couch and decide whether it might fit better up the stairway and through doorways on its side, held diagonally, or moved in an upright position.

Consider putting the sofa on a dolly to go up the stairs. It should be able to fit upright on a standard dolly with wheels. You’ll still need to lift the dolly—with the couch on it—up the stairs, but it will reduce the physical strain. The person holding the dolly should pull the couch up, while the helper should be on the other side, keeping the couch secure and steady.

If you don’t have a dolly, the person in front should lift the couch slightly higher than the person in the back to create more stability. The person in the back should also be the stronger mover, as most of the weight will be distributed there.
