"Very quick response to evaluate the project and provide a Bid. A heavy windstorm took down a very large pine tree leaving quite a mess. Had one other bid but felt more comfortable with this contractor. This bid seemed reasonable for the amount of work to be done. They started the job right away and worked very diligently to get as much done the first day. They returned the next day to complete the job. They were easy to work with, very pleasant and finished the project in a very professional manner. They cleaned everything up and hauled away all of the debris and wood. With the exception of the original spot where the tree originally was I could not tell anything had happened. They even cleared out the remaining root material and covered the hole in with dirt. They were very professional and I would not hesitate to hire them again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Cutting down a dead tree is always strongly advisable. Aside from being an eyesore, a dead tree can be extremely hazardous, especially when it’s near people or structures. Even if the tree isn’t near your home, it can still harbor pests and diseases that can potentially spread to nearby plants and homes.

An arborist specializes in tree care, performing tasks such as pruning, treating diseases, and removing hazardous trees. They also assess soil conditions, plant trees, and develop landscaping plans to ensure healthy growth. They also manage debris cleanup, inspect equipment, and record maintenance activities. Arborists often collaborate with landscapers and professional tree maintenance services, applying their specialized knowledge and problem-solving skills to maintain tree health and safety.

A grafted tree is a tree grown by combining two trees. It takes expertise. Branches from grafted trees don’t grow strong roots. Save yourself the time and frustration by having an arborist help you with this advanced project.

You can often tell if a tree is grafted because it will have a noticeable line. Above the line, the bark will look different than it does below the line. It’s most common with fruit trees.

Stump grinding consists of removing the visible part of the stump, but the roots remain intact. Depending on the tree and root system, the roots may still grow after stump grinding. If you are concerned about root growth and damage, you may want to consider having a stump removed completely.

Yes, it is highly recommended to remove tree stumps. Leaving them in the ground can lead to several problems, as they are not only unsightly but can also reduce your property's value. Stumps can obstruct landscaping plans, make mowing difficult, and hinder new growth. More importantly, they are prime breeding grounds for pests like termites, ants, and mice, which can spread to your home and cause costly damage to its wood and foundation. Stumps also attract fungi and diseases that can infect other healthy trees and plants in your yard. As a stump decays, it might sprout new, unwanted shoots. While removing a stump is an investment, it prevents these potential issues and enhances the safety, health, and appearance of your landscape.
