"Frei Guys installed a new front door for our place and we are very pleased with how it turned out. We purchased an uncut, unstained, wood slab door. They cut the door for the hinges and doorknob, installed a new door frame and threshold, installed the door, installed the brick molding and casing, and removed and reinstalled the storm door. The finished product looks great. Fair price, quality work, and good communication. I would definitely recommend them."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently had Weathers Construction remodel our kitchen and update our flooring, cabinets, and painting throughout our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team was professional, reliable, and incredibly easy to work with. The quality of their craftsmanship was outstanding, and they paid close attention to every detail. They also provided excellent advice and recommendations throughout the project, helping us make decisions that improved the final outcome. What really stood out was their pricing. Their rates were extremely fair and transparent, especially considering the quality of work they delivered. We felt like we received tremendous value for our investment. The project was completed on time, communication was great, and they treated our home with respect every step of the way. If you’re looking for a contractor who is professional, skilled, honest, and fairly priced, I highly recommend Weathers Construction. They exceeded our e"

"Dusty is the best contractor I have ever worked with-EVER! We have used Elite Mountain Homes multiple times, including: a complete home gut, rebuild, including the addition of an entire second floor, a mudroom and, most recently, a custom silo build. Dusty isn’t a contractor-he’s an artist! He leans into creativity, re-purposes materials, offers affordable solutions and creates the most beautiful masterpieces. He communicates clearly and-wait for it-timely. He delivers on his promises and autographs his work with quality."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Whether it’s more affordable to gut a house than build a new one depends on the markets where you'd be buying and selling. However, it’s usually less expensive to renovate a home than to build new construction.

Most homeowners pay between $100,000 and $200,000 for demolition and remodeling costs, whereas the average cost to build a new home is between $139,000 and $531,300.

In addition to overseeing new home builds, construction managers work on large renovations and major remodels. For example, they may work with designers and oversee the construction of a finished basement, kitchen renovation, or a home addition. They may also oversee large-scale remodels, such as the update of a historic home. Construction managers step into small projects for more specific assistance, such as building budgets and compiling the team.

The choice is really yours. Greenhouses available in kits can make the job go quicker. You can find greenhouse kits to match your style and size needs. If you enjoy designing and planning, you can build your own from materials of your choosing. Just be sure to do your research beforehand so everything ends up structurally sound.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

While sheds are most certainly helpful for most homeowners, unfortunately, sheds do not add value to a home or property in the traditional sense. However, if the home has limited storage or garage space, having a shed to store things like decorations or lawn equipment can certainly be a positive if you want to sell.
