"Aron answered my request for quote within 15 minutes of the posting. He came right over to look at the job and gave me a bid. I decided to hire him right then. I liked his price, which was very fair and I liked him personally. I was surprised when he said he could do the job the next day. He was on time and had the job completed within 2 hours. There were around 12 tree stumps to be ground up. I would definitely recommend Aron and will call him if and when I ever need any tree service done. Fantastic job!!!!"

"He and his crew were very professional. They had to climb a 35 foot tree in a very compromising place in my yard. The pine tree dropped a ton of needles and they cleaned it all up. I was so happy with DO IT RIGHT. I would definitely hire them again and refer them to neighbors and friends.."

"The guys were amazing! Respectful, clean, and quick. They scraped out the entire backyard in two days, and laid sod in one. We've had this same company do tree removal and sprinkler work in the past. We'll always use SLC Landscaping."

"They were really great to work with. they were more than prompt today when they came to take down a huge tree. When they had to reschedule from last week to today - due to the holiday-- they were really fast to contact me and they followed up on that contact.-- they cleaned up the tree litte and left my driveway looking better than they found it. Payment via their paysite was so easy. --- I'm very pleased and recommend them highly."

"Brian Miller and his crew were great! They showed up as scheduled, did a great job of removing a tree and grinding the stump, took off some other branches on another tree when we asked. When they left our yard was cleaned up. A very professional, friendly, hard working group of guys. Would hire these guys again."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

Costs range from $500 to $5,000 per tree, depending on size, location, and accessibility.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.
