Small jobs welcome

"I had Greenwood Plumbing LLC install a new gas line for my dryer, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Chris, the plumber who handled the job, was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took the time to explain the process, made sure everything was up to code, and completed the installation quickly and efficiently. The work area was left spotless, and everything has been working perfectly since. I highly recommend Greenwood Plumbing LLC and will absolutely call them again for any future plumbing needs!"

"This is a review for Patrick S at A & A Plumbing in San Antonio, Texas. We had two sinks in the same bathroom that were draining slowly. This was not an emergency, so I made an appointment for two business days later. The person on the phone was polite and helpful and did a good job explaining the company policies about the service charge (about $20) that is credited towards any work done and what to expect when the plumbers came. I was given a 4 hour window and they came very near the beginning of the window. They called in advance to confirm and then again to let me know when the plumber was actually on his way and the name to expect. When Patrick got here, he gave a description of what was the likely problem and a quote to fix both sinks at once as we agreed the problem was probably past where the sink drain pipes joined up. He promised to talk over any surprises he found before doing anything extra, but his diagnosis was correct and they had both sinks draining wonderfully in less than an hour. Patrick and his colleague were pleasant and left everything as clean as when they came. They did not push selling me extra services, although they did ask if I had any other issues. I felt the price was fair for the high quality service I got. I will use this company again if we have another plumbing problem."

"Anthony and his crew are great! Always on time and the work is top notch. Got Plumbing has worked a number of projects in my home. The latest was a bathroom remodel where they converted a single faucet vanity to a double, replaced the shower/bath shower faucet/tub spout and added a separate hand-held shower wand. They also checked the toilet and found some issues and fixed them. Communication is good-always texted at least 30 minutes before arrival and they keep their schedule. A++ Highly recommended!"

"We had no hot water and no water at all in the master bathtub in our new (to us) house. I had talked with other plumbers and had one come over to see what the problem was. They all made guesses. They were all wrong. James from Enoch plumbing told me in less than 10 minutes what the problem was and he was right. Plumbing crossover and James was the only one to suspect it. And he got the water on in the master tub."

"Quest Plumbing promptly answered my request for service. Matt Zimmerman carefully explalined what needed to be done and gave me a competitive quote and stuck to it. I liked the fact that they didn't mind if I hung around a bit and asked questions while they worked. The job was professionally done and I'm quite pleased with the work-new backflow preventer for sprinkler system and hose bibs all around the house skillfully replaced. I will definitely use Quest again."

"He was able to to troubleshoot my problem over the phone. I was told my my another plumber that I needed a auger for my drain on the roof amd he didn’t do that. Dustin called and I explained the problem to him and he walked me through some step to try and the result was I didn’t need anyone on my roof and I really didn’t have a drainage problem after all. He could have came out and charged me but he didn’t. I really appreciated his honesty. I highly recommend Dustin and when I do need a plumber , I will definitely call him."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Draining is the process of removing sediment buildup that has accumulated at the bottom of your hot water heater’s tank. Flushing is a more elaborate process that involves running fresh water through the tank to clean the inside thoroughly. You should at least drain your hot water heater once per year and flush it every other year—better yet, alternate between draining and flushing every six months.

Constant problems with plumbing throughout the home may point toward the plumbing vent being the culprit. If a blockage or clog occurs in the plumbing vent, it can quickly lead to the entire plumbing system throughout the home failing. Tackle clogs as soon as they happen, and if it’s a constant problem, bring in a local plumber to look at repairs.

Be on the lookout for multiple points of the plumbing system causing problems, such as if there’s a strong scent coming from the home or if you notice the plumbing vent on the roof is damaged.

Depending on the severity of the freeze and the method used, thawing frozen underground pipes can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. Applying heat directly to the pipe using heat tape, infrared lamps, or hot water jetting can speed up the process. However, patience and careful monitoring are key to avoiding pipe damage.

As long as you have the correct tools, know how to turn off the water lines, and are able to work in tight spaces, replacing a faucet in a bathroom is a potential DIY job. It requires many of the same steps as replacing a kitchen faucet, but it’s more challenging than replacing a showerhead. It could take anywhere from one to four hours to do the job yourself, while a plumber may only need one to two hours.

Yes, many services include necessary plumbing adjustments. Confirm with your installer.
