"If zi could give him a negative 1 star I would. The job was sloppy. Mud was slung all over the wall. He came in and out my house leaving paint. He left unpainted areas. No clean up of paint. He offered to come back but after seeing this mess. I felt like it would have gotten worse. He requested a $500 deposit. It was just a horrible experience. We had just closed on a house and trusted this guy to do the garage before we moved in."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. Also, if you have a garbage disposal, a clog in the disposal can back up your dishwasher since they share plumbing, as can a clog in your kitchen sink’s plumbing. A handy DIYer may be able to figure out how to unclog a dishwasher, but you may need to call in a plumber if you can’t locate and clear the clog yourself.

Many homeowners wonder if a garbage disposal is necessary with a dishwasher. After all, many dishwashers are powerful enough to handle bits of food with no issues.  

Still, your dishwasher should not act as a replacement for a disposal. Subjecting your dishwasher to continuous leftovers could lead to major clogs. If you don’t want a garbage disposal in your kitchen, simply scrape away any extra food into your trash can or compost pile.

You can repair minor damage to a dishwasher drain hose with tape designed to handle moisture but it’s probably better to simply replace it. Dishwasher hoses are inexpensive items that, although they require some muscle to change, are best swapped out. You don’t want to find your kitchen has flooded because of a faulty part that usually costs between $10 and $30.

The correct water temperature for your dishwasher depends on the washing phase. When water enters the machine, it should be around 120 degrees Fahrenheit, but no hotter than 150 degrees. During the wash cycle, the machine will heat the water to between 130 and 140 degrees. If your dishwasher has a sanitizing cycle, the water can reach a temperature of up to 180 degrees.

The only way to repair a dishwasher door hinge is to replace the broken or damaged hinge. To do this, you'll want to remove the old hinge, install a new one that fits your specific dishwasher model, and reattach the panel.
