"I had a couple questions about some trim on the inside part of some of the windows and the owner himself came out to make sure everything was done right and that I was happy with the install and new windows."

"The installers were great. The salesperson made promises that he did not keep and he missed a window. When the person came to measure he also didn’t catch that I was having all my windows done except one. The windows look great. The response when I notified the co that one window was missed was very fast but added to my cost."

Customers say: Quick response

"Duke is the man! Hired him to do a few things around our new house, and his services did not disappoint. He's an absolutely genuine guy, and takes pride in his work. He's honest, and sticks to the job until it's complete. He's also very creative. One of the projects we had him do was putting a cap on our chimney. It was no easy task with lots of obstacles to overcome to get the job done. His inventiveness shined through, and he figured out the best, and most affordable way to get it done. Thanks for all you've done for us, Duke!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

In Waco, older homes—especially in areas like Castle Heights—often feature unique window shapes, deep-set brick exteriors, or original wood frames that require custom measurements. Shifting clay soil can lead to uneven sills or cracks around windows, signaling possible foundation movement. Multi-story layouts or tight lot lines may require special ladders or lifts. Watch for warped frames, misaligned openings, or evidence of prior repairs.

Helpful?

Waco homeowners often choose black-framed windows, oversized picture windows, and grid patterns that complement farmhouse and rustic modern styles. Energy efficiency is a top priority, with Low-E glass, argon gas fills, and multi-pane designs gaining popularity. Impact-resistant and noise-reducing windows are sought after for storm protection and comfort. Fiberglass and wood-clad frames are increasingly favored in historic neighborhoods for their durability and classic look.

Helpful?

In Waco’s humid climate, check for swelling or sticking windows after heavy rain, and use a silicone-based lubricant on tracks. Replace cracked caulk or brittle weather stripping with products rated for high heat. Clean window sills and screens regularly to prevent pollen buildup. For older homes, test for lead paint before sanding. Always use a sturdy ladder for upper windows and avoid repairs during peak summer heat.

Helpful?

In Waco, homeowners sometimes select windows not rated for intense Texas sun, leading to warping or fading. Overlooking foundation issues before installation can cause misalignment. Failing to match window style in historic districts may violate local guidelines. Skipping required permits or ignoring HOA rules can delay projects. Some underestimate the need for masonry expertise with brick exteriors, or hire contractors without verifying local experience and references.

Helpful?

In Waco, replacing a single window typically takes 2–4 hours, while a whole-home window service project for an average-sized house usually spans 1–3 days. Historic homes or those with custom windows may require extra time for precise fitting. Delays can occur during spring storms or if custom glass is needed. Scheduling in early fall or late winter helps avoid weather-related setbacks and ensures smoother project timelines.
