"I will not be using Tasco again for my air conditioning needs. I recently agreed to have them replace a faulty expansion valve in my relatively new system, which they had installed. The expansion valve was free (a warrantied product). They used 2 lbs. of freon. They also installed a $38 dollar dryer. The two technicians spent a total of 1 hour and 13 minutes to complete the work. The estimate to complete the work was $1200.00. You would think that this company would cut me a better deal for warranty work. Upon completion of the work, I requested an itemized bill. Later that day, the owner stated they do not give out itemized bills and that he charges a flat rate for his services. After arguing wth him for a short time he stated that because I agreed to his estimate there was nothing to argue about. If you charge a flat rate why would there be an estimate? When I started using Tasco, they had an A rating- it is now down to a B. Do yourself a favor and go with a better company that is cheaper. Make sure you get an itemized bill. You can look up the cost of every part online. I never minded paying a premium for good service, but this is ridiculous."

Owners Walter & Bev Caraballo and Mike & Denise Caraballo, and all of our local staff welcome the opportunity to help you with your home repair or improvement projects. Call us today and we can start on your project in a few days – not a few weeks!
"I can't recommend this business, because my experience with them was incredibly inefficient, and they were not transparent about their pricing. Some number of months ago, I called Ace Handyman San Antonio to set up services. I had a list of everything I needed done, and Samantha, the office manager, requested that I add photos so that they could understand the scope of the work. I gladly complied. Samantha let me know that it would likely take two separate trips, and she scheduled me with Stephen, a craftsman who I had worked with before, who I knew to do good work. Instead, on the day of my service, she sent out Mike and Rogelio. Mike, the part owner of the business, asked to review my list again, which I shared with him. He let me know that he thought they could knock out "a good majority" of the items that day and left to buy the supplies for my project. For forty-five minutes, Rogelio worked on my home. He added a screw to my back door, leveled two curtain rods that had been hung crookedly, and adjusted the hang of my sliding laundry room door to stay on the tracks. This work took forty-five minutes, which I verified using my Nest camera to track time from the moment he entered my home to the moment he left. Rogelio, however, billed me for three hours. After calling Ace, this was brought down to one and a half, but I'm still unsure about why I'm being billed for double time. At that point, Rogelio left my property and nobody let me know when they would return (despite their supplies being left in my home). After multiple phone calls to determine what was going on, we rescheduled Rogelio to come another day. He came at his scheduled time and let us know that that time didn't work for him anymore, and he wanted to come back another time. He came the next day, but without the materials that had been agreed upon. So he did what he could. He filled holes from paintings throughout our home, adjusted the remaining curtain rods, and fixed our door to close more smoothly. This took two hours, which I was billed for at three hours. At the end of two hours, he told me the remaining work would take one hour, and left for the day. I was charged trip fees for both of these days. The Boerne office called me to schedule the remaining work and Irma (who is an absolute treasure) let me know that Rogelio's quote was incorrect, and she would estimate a half day for the tasks remaining--these tasks were to pressure wash the garage, remove hard water stains from two inches on one window, change the locks on my front door, and paint over the existing places that Rogelio had previously spackled. We did find a few holes that had been missed, and when the handyman, Eric, came out the next time, he spackled over those as well. He offered to go to Lowe's to pick up door stops as well, and install them, so we added that to the list. A younger man came with Eric to "assist," despite my original quote of a half day of one man's labor for $104 / hour. However, Eric spent the majority of his time in my home teaching the young man how to do his job. The young man charged $68 per hour, but did not know how to pressure wash or install a lock, and Eric's time on the clock was largely spent teaching him how to do his job correctly. Additionally, as mentioned, Eric went to Lowe's for supplies. I later found out that Ace bills supplies at 1.5x as a markup. However, I paid the men a trip fee, and the hourly rate for the time they went to the store--I'm confused as to why there is also a supply markup. Finally, along with the cost of materials, for this day, I was charged for more than eleven hours of total labor. To paint over some picture frame holes, clean the bottom half of one window, pressure wash a mostly clean garage and driveway, and change a lock. Worst of all, the work was not done to completion. We tried to calmly and politely have a conversation with Mike Berringer, the part owner and general manager, but he could not have cared less."

Eb Extreme Electrical Services
Eb Extreme Electrical Services
EB Extreme Electrical Services was featured in an episode of the TV show "Flip This House, San Antonio Edition". EB Extreme Electrical Services is a San Antonio electrician with a wide range of capabilities and skills to meet your unique project's needs. Give us a call today and we'll get out to help you ASAP. Licenses / Credentials: • Electrical Contractors License T.E.C.L. 23588 • Master Electrician 108708 • Journeyman Electrician 5648 Steps in Hiring a Reliable San Antonio Electrician You might not think of it often but, the fact is that at some point in time every home is going to need the services of an electrician. The electrical power that makes everything run smoothly is a very important part of every home. Many people are capable enough to handle the small jobs, like installing a ceiling fan or replacing a wall switch. Others have a healthy fear of anything that involves electrical repairs or upgrades; no matter how minor the problem, it is best left in the capable hands of a reliable San Antonio electrician. It shouldn’t be hard to find an electrician. Locating the one that you believe is right for your project might not be quite as easy. Where to Find a Licensed San Antonio Electrician Friends, family and people you work with are all good places to start when asking for recommendations. If anyone has hired a San Antonio electrician in the past, they can possibly give you some good insight. If they weren’t happy with the work, they can tell you why. Likewise if someone’s had a good experience with a San Antonio electrician they’ll probably give him a glowing recommendation. People will quickly let you know if they received great service. You'll find that we have a good reputation and take pride in our work. Getting a Bid from a San Antonio Electrician Once you’ve decided on three or four electricians that you feel are right for the job, you then need to set up an interview so you can go over your project with them. Ask about experience; we'll be happy to explain to you how a San Antonio electrician can meet your needs. We offer a quality of service that you will not find elsewhere. After the project is complete, you'll be happy we sent an expert San Antonio electrician. Do a walk through with each electrician that you are considering and have them explain in detail what they can do for you and how they would complete the job. Tell them what you’re trying to accomplish and use the time to convey any concerns. Taking a little time with each San Antonio electrician will help you get a sense of how well you will communicate and if there is potential for a good working relationship. If you have any doubts about a specific electrician, you don’t need to feel obligated to work with him. Keep in mind that this person is someone you’ll need to trust with the safety of your home. Get an estimated time for the completion of your project along with the price. Obviously a San Antonio electrician can’t give you a correct estimate until they work up an in depth quote. Provide each electrician with a list of the things you want them to include in their bid. The bids should include the cost of parts and labor and a detailed explanation of what the project involves. It should also detail your payment options. If your project is small, you’ll usually be expected to pay in full once the project is completed, while longer more involved projects, may allow for installment payments over the course of the entire job. A time schedule for completion should also be included in every bid. Selecting the Best San Antonio Electrician You’ll then need to compare the bid from each San Antonio electrician with the others you have received. You might be attracted to a very low bid but this is one area where you really need to be an educated consumer. While a low bid can be legitimate, if it’s way below the others you need to question why. When it comes to your home’s electrical system yo...
