"Not only is David highly skilled in resolving HVAC issues, but he was a pleasure to work with and taught me a lot! He was punctual, communicative and patient, taking the time to explain what the issues were (in plain English), and in the end solved my A/C problems much faster AND cheaper than the so called “best in town” HVAC company I was working with. Highly recommend, and will be calling him back again!"

"We have 22 air conditioning units in our food processing facility, and on all the occasions we have requested them, they have worked out around the timelines we set up to not affect production. They cover up with plastic the machines we request, and clean themselves up after they finish. We highly recommend them to others who have similar needs."

Repairman showed up on time, fixed the clogged drain, checked the unit over, and told us a price, then finished fixing the problem, unit was low on freon, and then went into the attic to see if any ductwork was loose or off of the ceiling vents. Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

During the summer, it’s best to set your AC to 78 degrees when you’re home and awake, according to the Department of Energy (DOE). For better energy efficiency, raise the temperature slightly to 85 degrees while you’re out of the house. The National Sleep Foundation advises lowering your thermostat to between 60 and 67 degrees when you’re asleep.

Split systems are the most common type of HVAC system. Split systems have two main units: an indoor one and an outdoor one. These units work together to pull in air, heat or cool it, and distribute it throughout your home. Other popular types of HVAC systems include hybrid systems and packaged heating and air systems.

Absolutely! You can seriously improve the overall value of your home by maintaining high-quality, compatible systems for heating and cooling. Potential buyers will love not having to worry about getting a new HVAC unit for 15 to 20 years and will pay more for it. For maximum efficiency and cost savings, replacing the furnace and air conditioner at the same time, when possible, gives you (and potential future buyers) reliable comfort and modern convenience.

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling.

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.

If your central AC is not blowing cold air, you should try resetting the system. Many systems have a reset button. Make sure your thermostat is off, then turn off the circuit breaker that powers your AC. Hold the reset button for three to five seconds, then turn the circuit back on. Set your thermostat to cool and choose a temperature cooler than the room. Your system should turn on quickly.
