"I have used Raul and his team for over 5 years now. They have done full renovations of kitchens and bathrooms for myself and my rental properties as well as smaller repair projects like new window installations and installing appliances. They are trust worthy and do great work!"

"The basement king was a pleasure to work with. His knowledge is unmatched in the Texas area for sure. I received multiple quotes and talked to multiple companies and he was the best. He's passionate about his work and the manner in which it's done. If he says something, it happens. An added benefit was their cleanliness. Usually a job site of this size and complexity is a mess, but not with the basement kings. 10/10!"

"Roman communicated his schedule to arrive and take care of putting together two large primate caging. He did an outstanding job and actually cleaned up afterwards, which is rare in my experience with not so “handy” Handymen. Already planning to have Roman work some other projects. Wish I had found him a year so I could have avoided some other poor work performed by other handy men. Highly recommend Beyond Quality and Roman!"

"They were great. They did not perform any work for me. They were on time and they gave me a quote. It was a good day. There was nothing good or bad, it was just a quote. They were nice and they were too expensive so we didn't do it. They were super expensive."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Blueprints are generally available for houses built after the early 1900s. Before then, detailed building schematics like blueprints were rarely used and even more rarely saved. If you have an older house and need blueprints, you can have a new set drawn up by an architect or draftsperson.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.

A split-level home is one that has several staggered floors connected by short staircases, while a split floor plan separates the primary bedroom from the rest of the bedrooms. Split floor plans are most often found in single-story homes, while split-level homes are always at least two stories.

When you think about Arts and Crafts-style homes, you probably think of a Craftsman house or a bungalow-style Craftsman. Craftsman is one of the major styles developed during the Arts and Crafts movement, but it checks most boxes. Craftsman houses have low-pitched roofs, exposed rafters, open floor plans, and stunning wood finish.

Federal architecture is most common in urban areas throughout the New England states, including the older parts of New York, Pennsylvania (namely, Boston and Philadelphia), Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. The style also dominated in parts of Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, so many historical homes in the area embody this home design. Salem, MA, has two historic districts that predominantly feature this architectural style: Chestnut Street District and the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.
