"Jose Luis and his crew were GREAT!! We had to have tile and some drywall redone in our bathroom. I feel that he and his crew were highly skilled and organized. I would call him again for any other similar work I need done. Priced reasonably and for great quality work. I am so grateful for my bathroom looking like new and pretty. Jose Luis and his crew were also kind and thoughtful which is hard to find in any industry - muchas gracias :-)"

Small jobs welcome

"This was a difficult job the tile were installed at an angle not flat so there was a lot of tile cutting around corners and sides. The job was done to perfection and in the time frame discussed before the job started. The installation price was also substantially lower than the other bids."

"Came and installed our backsplash tile and floating shelves we had. Was not an easy job due to the type of tile and difficulty of installation of these shelves, but these guys knocked it out of the park! Very pleased and will definitely be calling them back to do our bathroom tile next!"

"I needed some fairly major drywall repairs and floor repairs done due to damage from a dog. Moran's Repair was the only contracting company that managed to show up on time for the estimate, which in the end is why I picked them. They showed up on time every day they needed to be there for the work and the estimate was exactly spot on in the end. The quality of work was very good, house looks practically like new again. I would definitely hire them in the future."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.

The tile trim you use will depend on a few factors, including design preferences, budget, and whether the project is DIY or not. You might choose plastic trim if you want an easier DIY job that is more budget-friendly. There are also more color options available in plastic. On the other hand, you might choose metal to match your fixtures or for areas with heavy use.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

The choice of whether to tile or use an acrylic tub surround is up to you and can be based on a number of factors, including aesthetics, cost, waterproofing, ease of cleaning, and maintenance.

Tile is a beautiful, classic bathtub surround choice; while tile installation cost is higher, it’s customizable and offers visual appeal. Tile is also harder to clean and presents waterproofing problems because of grout lines. Acrylic surrounds can be more affordable, don’t require much maintenance, and are easier to clean. However, they aren’t usually as visually appealing and may need to be replaced if they become damaged.

If you’re looking for a durable tile for a shower floor, consider porcelain, stone, or vinyl tiles. Each of these options, when installed correctly, will stand up well to everything from water and moisture to the impact from a dropped bottle of body wash. These materials are also easy to clean and maintain, making them popular options for shower floors.
