"Craftsman Dave Elliott did a great job with my quarter rounds / shoe molds for my hardwood floor replacement. I was replacing carpet after I bought the house, but the flooring people don't do shoe molds. He is very skilled and helped me with a bunch of other handyman tasks as well. It was easy to work with Suzanne to schedule the work."

"Had a great experience with Ernest and Economy House Painting. He was quick to come out and give me a fair quote. He was professional and gave me options. Looking forward to having him come out again to complete some other projects. Thank you!!"

"I hired Maycee to organize my pantry, a few closets, and bathroom in my home! I was too overwhelmed to even look at those rooms. Maycee took over and knew exactly what to do! I was so relieved and happy with the results! Will definitely be hiring her again!"

"Sam erected a metal storage shed, and did an excellent job. The company worked around delayed delivery of the shed for me and I would highly recommend them. There were no problems at any time."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing service! We didn't even have the assembly instructions for my bed, but they still managed to put everything together perfectly. They were patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to figure everything out without cutting corners. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was assembled correctly and was sturdy before they left. They were also professional, friendly, and efficient throughout the entire process. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing furniture assembly. If you're looking for someone who is reliable and willing to go the extra mile, this is the person to hire!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

Yes, books are typically heavier than clothes, unless you have a collection exclusively of paperbacks or comic books. That’s why packing lots of books warrants careful planning and consideration. Consider packing up your reading collection first to determine whether you need to downsize it before loading it into your moving truck.

A "reach-in pantry" is a smaller, cabinet-style pantry that allows you to grab items by simply reaching inside. On the other hand, a "walk-in pantry" is like a closet or small room that offers a larger space that you can physically enter to get your food. Walk-in pantries allow for more customizable shelving. A reach-in pantry is usually around 5 feet wide by 2 feet deep, while a walk-in pantry is closer to 5 feet by 5 feet or larger.

Plywood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and solid wood are all popular options for closet shelving. Plywood and solid wood are sturdy and ideal for extended shelves or heavy items. MDF is a budget-friendly choice for light to moderate storage, but it can sag under heavy weight if not adequately supported. Wire shelving is another alternative that allows airflow, making it especially useful in humid spaces such as laundry rooms or basements.

Walk-in closets are always the biggest and can easily be more than 100 square feet. Primary bedroom closets, even if not walk-ins, are the second largest category in most homes and sit between 30 and 80 square feet. Linen closets, utility closets, and built-in closets are smaller and, depending on their usage, tend to be between 10 and 50 square feet.
