But they did get out quickly and when he came, he was very focused and he did a good job. I really don't have a complaint other than the scheduling. The work was fine. I would use them again I think. One thing is, I didn't think that it was really made clear that I couldn't use that for whatever I wanted, as long as it fit within that 8-hour window. To be fair, they did call the night before and not the morning of, and had it been some other service where I didn't have to empty my closets and things, it wouldn't have been such a big deal. He wired the house for wall mounted TVs, Outdoor TVs, outdoor speakers, home networking, and of course surround sound. Communication was excellent, he showed up on time and completed each phase of the project. The house was wired exactly as we had discussed and all my equipment is now installed and working perfectly. The den which has our main TV and sound system has a 2" conduit running inside the wall so that any replacement or additional wiring can be done effortlessly. The cable, ethernet, and speaker wire he used were all of top quality. Satellite and Internet installers had no problem tying their equipment in. All their equipment went straight into the AV closet and the outside cabling they required was all set up. Seamless.... The two who came out kept me informed of what they were doing as they were doing it and when we needed to add electric they worked with our electrician that very same day. Even though the wrong furnace (a gas one) was delivered they completed as much work as they could on the outside and on the following work day completed the whole job, except for the one grill they agreed to add. I'm still waiting on it. The delay in installing the furnace was fine with me as it gave me time to put a fresh coat of paint in the closet! I had a rubber trash basket under one of the leaks, and with all the rain we've had this year, I've had to empty it more than once. The other leak was into my bedroom closet. I had to put all of my shoes up on wire shelves to keep them from getting ruined. I looked on the list and chose Clear Choice Roofing. The people on the phone exhibited a high level of customer service, and when Carrie (the job supervisor) came out, she was very thorough and knowledgeable. I pride myself on being able to read people, and I knew I'd found the right company to fix my roof. They gave me what I thought was an extremely reasonable price, and came out the next working day (a Monday) and did the work. The workers came in and installed the new flashing around the chimney and sealed the vent pipe and replaced missing screws. The job was done in under one day, and Carrie, the supervisor, came out to look over the job. She pointed out the repairs that had been done, and I could see that they were done right. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of everyone I came into contact with. I highly recommend this company and I intend to recommend them to everyone with roofing jobs to be done. After 9 years in our house, we were ready to replace our master bedroom and closet carpet now - and possibly our guest bedrooms/gameroom within the next half year. We wanted to find someone who could do a great job at a fair price. I shopped around a little and found a carpet I really liked at another place close to our house. When I looked up A rated companies, Lonestar was at the top of the list. I stopped by and got excellent service and suggestions from Tony. He was immediately familiar with the carpet we were interested in, but called his supplier, found it, and came by our house the same day for a quote. We agreed to the terms (better price and customer service than an earlier quote). He gave us a projection of the range of when the carpet would be in - early the following week and followed up once he got a definitive date. His installation team was courteous, on-time, efficient, and did an impeccable job in installing our carpet and taking care of our furniture and baseboards. Tony followed up with the job the day of, and swung by he next day to inspect the work. We couldn't have asked for anything more! We were also happy with the down-to-earth attitude and willingness to help and adapt to our needs going forward. We will definitely use Lonestar and Tony again. This list included replacing rotten wood surrounding metal patio doors, replacing wood to level a sagging second story deck and painting to match the original, and repairing exterior dryer vents. Morgan was at the jobsite when he said he would be there (including Saturdays), he was dependable, he worked steadily until the job was finished, his work was outstanding, and his prices were reasonable. We were very pleased with his work. We planned get bids to do additional work on the house, and after seeing his work on the initial projects, we had Morgan provide a bid for the additional work and we chose him to do this work as well. This included: building custom mdf shelving in bedroom closets to customer’s specification, using pictures provided by customer (not pre-cut shelving); switching a coat closet into a pantry, and vice versa, by building custom shelves, again to customer specifications using photos; installing wood flooring in pantry and coat closet to match flooring in nearby area; replacing some interior doors and hardware, using slab not prehung doors; replacing exterior doors; replacing glass in patio doors; new tile work surrounding a bathtub; extending shelving in entertainment center to match existing shelving; extending fireplace mantel; adding additional shelving in existing linen closet; and replacing cracked floor tiles. Without exception, his work was excellent. He takes pride in his work, and did not take shortcuts (for example with the shelving and the door work). Morgan was also very easy to work with, and was accommodating when I kept asking him to give us prices to do additional work that my wife thought of while he was there. "BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR! I was duped by this company! Told me the installation of my single front iron door would be $255/hr for 1 hr possible 2 hours for 2 people. This install was 7 hours for each person or 14 hours which cost me over $1300 to install 1 door. The door was already prehung. The 2 men were walking around wasting time, pretending to look for parts such as door handles which were right in front of them in the box. This is deceptive, false advertising, and will be reported to the BBB. They didn’t even get my confirmation/approval for additional hours or work! I will NEVER use their services again. Duped!"

Locally owned and operated. All handyman, landscaping, home automation, and remodeling services. Your Austin-area experts in home renovation, repair and maintenance, we handle jobs of all sizes, whether you're planning a major renovation, or just need a handyman to fix a leaky faucet, we'll help you get it done quickly, affordably, with high-quality results and some of that local Austin flavor you can't find anywhere else.
"I paid Best Austin Handyman over $24,000 and I provided 95% of the demolition and materials and did all of the painting. The general contractor, Barrett Criscoe, said work could be completed without permits by a crew within 3 weeks beginning December 4th, 2017. This job did require permits and it took six weeks before the plans were right and accepted by the city during which I had no kitchen. Work began February 7th, 2018. It appears this nightmare won't be over until resolved in court. I fired them on April 24th. They did substandard work and charged me for things that were listed in my estimate, but that they either didn't do, did incorrectly, or very poorly. When they began work they would work for a few hours and then not show up for days or even weeks at a time. Barrett had the job foreman, Eric Gazur, and project manager, Nick Martin, do the electrical work that was supposed to be done by Andy Keil of Live Oak Electric. Those that did the electrical work appear to have been unqualified, unlicensed, and unsupervised. I found out that their work was not done correctly. Andy Keil refused to fix the electrical issues, telling me he had only been paid $500 to pull the permit as a favor to Barrett. Barrett wouldn't talk to me, handing me off to Megan Walker in accounting. When I asked for an itemized list of charges, she gave me a list with each item priced significantly higher than quoted in the estimate and insistence on charges for work never performed. They would not fix their electrical mistakes unless I paid them an additional $2800. A friend sent her son-in-law, a master electrician, to look at the electrical work they had done. He told me what they had done was unsafe and had been done illegally. I hired a legitimate and ethical electrician to fix numerous issues. So far I've spent $6,000 to correct shoddy work including corrected breakers in electrical panel, smoke detectors that were not properly daisy chained, loose wiring in attic, an unshielded live wire that was attached to the electrical panel, dishwasher and garbage disposal that were wired together into one switch, electrical sockets no longer working on one wall of the living room, two walls in the breakfast area, an outside light and outlet, the addition of required light in the attic and corrected wiring in attic to garage exterior light. Other contractors vented dryer from laundry room to exterior, repaired drywall and tile, and finished the other two sides of a beam I paid BAH to cover in drywall. They still need to hang the upper cabinets, move and vent the microwave, install toe kicks, shelving, and backsplash. I've already paid BAH for all of theseitems. For this extensive list of items to be completed or repaired Barrett Criscoe offered a refund of $1,000, which I declined. I've reported everyone involved to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. I've been told that each person involved can expect fines of up to $10,000 and revocation of licensure. This fiasco has caused extreme stress and loss of sleep, affecting my health. They took advantage of my initial lack of construction knowledge. I documented everything in my personal daily log and recommend anyone using these people do the same., or better yet, staying far away from everyone listed in this review. My goal is to save others from going through what I have."

FAQs for closet service projects in Rollingwood, TX
Building a custom closet costs about $2,000, on average. Because many types, sizes, and designs are available, the cost to build custom closets ranges from $250 to $6,000 or more. A reach-in closet is on the lower end of the price range from about $250 to $1,500, compared to a walk-in closet at $750 to $3,500 or a wardrobe at the high end between $1,500 and $6,000 or more.
The main difference between a closet and a wardrobe is that a closet is a separate room for general storage with its own door, and a wardrobe can be either built-in or freestanding place to store clothing. A walk-in or reach-in closet connected to a bedroom often serves the same purpose as a wardrobe by primarily storing clothes and shoes. A built-in wardrobe often does not have doors and leaves clothes exposed to view, whereas a standalone wardrobe usually has doors.
You may need a building permit to add a closet, depending on the size and kind of work required to install it. The most likely scenario requiring a permit involves changing the structure of the house and performing electrical work for closet lighting. A permit can cost between $100 and $450. If you’re installing a smaller reach-in closet, a permit may not be required, but always check with your local municipality and consult a closet designer or builder.
Different types of closets are defined mostly by size. A few different types of closets include:
A reach-in closet is a smaller closet that you can stand in front of and reach everything inside it. Aside from the size, the doors and the level of drywall finish are typically the largest price factors.
A walk-in closet can be anything from a small 5-by-5 feet closet that has a narrow walkway with shelves on both sides to a 100 square foot bedroom-sized closet with shelving along the walls and plenty of room to move around in.

Yes, building a custom closet can definitely add value to your home. Creating a more useful and pleasing space to your home, especially a custom closet for prospective home buyers to imagine as their own, is likely to increase the value. However, avoid overdoing it with a closet that takes up too much space that’s otherwise more useful as living space, or paying extra for overly lavish materials and finishes that aren’t likely to add more value than they cost.
