Small jobs welcome

"J.A.Z. Grout Restorer's did a great job for us! In fact, they did more than what we originally called them to do. We called them to restore the grout around our bathtub but also stepped up to additional grouting once they arrive."

"Mine was a small job (to repair a broken apart corner of my countertop), but still one I wanted done. The job was done on the same day I requested the service at what I thought was a fair price, and it was done so well that you have to look VERY closely at the specific area in question to be able to see where it was repaired. I would recommend this business without any reservations."

"The At Home Experts team was fantastic to work with. Solomen took the time to listen to our job request, understand the challenges, and propose a good solution. Manny completed the actual tiling, and it was a pleasure to work with him. He was knowledgeable and very meticulous about his work. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results! This was a request to tile the area surrounding our fireplace. While this was not a big job, we had selected a 3-D tile to install. The previous contractor who had tried to complete it did so poorly that it had to be torn out and redone. The At Home Experts team did a great job installing the same tile correctly, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for an expert tiler for a small or large job."

Customers say: Quality work

"I had a patch in my ceiling that needed repair and he did the job the same day but had to come finish the work the next day. He did a great job and kept the area as clean as he could with the dust. I recommend him for your sheetrock needs."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Professionals use resin fillers, diamond polishing pads, and sealants to restore the surface.

You most likely purchased a quartz countertop because it won't stain or etch like marble. However, etching can still happen depending on the quality of the quartz and whether it is repeatedly cleaned with harsh chemicals or exposed to acidic spills. Remember, while quartz is more resistant than natural stone, just like Superman when faced with Kryptonite, it is not indestructible.

Deciding between marble and granite for kitchen countertops depends on your personal priorities, budget, and style. Both materials have similar costs for material and installation.

Marble offers a luxurious aesthetic and timeless beauty, but it is more expensive and requires more maintenance. It is susceptible to staining and etching from acidic substances like coffee, wine, or tomato sauce if spills are not cleaned up quickly.

Granite is highly durable, heat-resistant, and easier to maintain, making it a practical choice for busy kitchens.

Both materials should be sealed to protect against damage, but they can still be vulnerable to stains if spills are left on the surface for too long.

Marble countertops are often considered better than limestone because of their superior durability and luxurious appearance. Marble is harder and less prone to scratching and denting, though it still requires maintenance and sealing to prevent stains and etching. Marble is typically more expensive, but its beautiful veining and range of colors offer a high-end look.

Yes, you can generally put hot pans directly on a granite countertop without worrying about cracking, as it is a durable, heat-resistant stone that can withstand high temperatures. However, it is still highly recommended to use a trivet or hot pad as a precaution. Prolonged or repeated exposure to high heat can potentially cause discoloration or damage the countertop's sealant, making it more susceptible to staining. Additionally, the heat from a pan can transfer to the granite, creating a burn hazard for anyone who touches the surface shortly after.
